Well whew!! I'm glad you two are handling the life and death matters along with the total collapse of the nuclear family happiness thing! That leaves me time to worry about the little stuff like the grass needs mowed, the dust is thick enough to plant potatoes in, and the dryer keeps buzzing insisting I leave my computer to tend to the whites.

I have to say that third time's a charm is bullshit!! The roofers have been out here 3 times to fix a leak in the roof around our vent stack. Well this time it's raining and the leak is worse than ever. I'm gonna have to have the landlord get his money back and find someone else to fix the fucking leak rite the first time. :fuming:

I am tired because I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep until morning, and then I woke up again permanent and now I feel all creepy and weird.

There is a visiting mean dog on the side of the fence opposite to the resident mean dogs that are always there, and the visiting guy was throwing himself against the fence so hard it bowed several inches and for a second, I thought he was going to bust right on through, so I don't want to go back there again until he's gone. (On the plus side, he was charging at Zsa Zsa, so I called her and she came right away, hackles and all, and sat politely on my feet. Good girl!)

There are ANGRY BEES IN THE KITCHEN*; and there is some kind of really loud growly monster rawk plus screaming playing really loud outside, and it has been for a while. I actually ran outside the first scream because it sounded like someone got murdered and I guess I thought I'd go watch.

And now it's turning all grey and blustery and this one tree branch keeps dragging across the window going skeeee skeeeee.

it just keeps getting sinisterer and sinisterer around here.

So for some complicated reasons I am at my parents' house for the next week or so. Today I offered to go to the grocery store to get some stuff for dinner. In the parking lot, before I even found a parking place I saw somebody I went to school with walking in, so I decided to abort and go to the other grocery store down the street. I really try to avoid seeing people I went to school with, because, you know, it's awful. And it's pretty hard because I grew up in a pretty small town where everybody knows each other and there are only a few viable businesses. So I go in the other grocery store and I'm all pleased to have narrowly avoided an encounter and I get the stuff and check out and I hand my card to the cashier who turns out to be some guy I went to school with. He immediately recognized me and I was able to come up with his first name but not his last name. The only thing I really remember about him was one time in second grade he crapped his pants and it was awful. I decided not to bring that up.

I hate, hate, hate to the bottom of my black little heart winding the cord for weed eaters. I never can do it right. I also hate mine cause it needs an extension cord to function and I inevitably can't get to that last patch of pokeweed. It's HYOOGE now.

How does one kill pokeweed anyways?
