how do you make different ascii characters in the forums withough copying and pasting them out of a word document

ie.. thing like ° , and ≤ , and ╚. what ever the heck ╚ actually is.

Well, I don't know about you, roastelk, but I recently learned from the denizens here that my trusty PC had a "character map" already built in. Just go to your computer's "start" and scroll out the choices of all programs. Select 'accessories'. Then, under 'accessories', select 'system tools'. Lastly, under 'system tools', select 'character map'.

From your character map, you can access all sorts of weird little thangs. Just click to copy, then click to paste.

And...if you just want to place a symbol in, just bracket the word 'degrees' with colons.
