So, passing the 3/4 mark seems to give cause to reflect on where one's been, and where one has left to get to.
And an Old Fart can get careless and fall to the melancholy if he's not mindful.
One of the grandkids turned me on to these guys back around the turn of the century. I ran across this bit tonight, and it pretty much where I'm at these days.
We saw these guys open for Beck in 2017. The old dude on sax, Charlie Gabriel, was celebrating his 85th birthday that night. He's 91 now and still at it.

The animated video is new to me, but I came to poast because this song grabbed me. I need to do more research, but for now, 2 EPs are available via wherever, and they're both fantastically beautiful.

Oh, Elize Ryd**. It's a bit of a stretch to say she was "with" Nightwish. She and Alissa White-Gluz (both touring with Kamelot) stood in for Anette for I think one concert when she was unwell.

Well excuse me Tarja Turunen was great and Anette Olzon was not so much, at least not live, but Floor Jansen is a metal goddess and is still with Nightwish after 12 years.
