Ahaha, SF has really strict sign laws and Musk’s strip club almost certainly breaks them, so lump on whatever fine the city asses onto his other non-payment of millions.
Flashing, glowing, blinking signs are verboten, the few that exist are either lit by old school incandescent style lights or carefully planned with the city like the top of the sales force tower or the Bay Bridge lights. Even with all the tech boom money it’s one of the few things the city heavily enforces, the idea of becoming a blinking sign bladerunner hellscape just does not appeal for some reason.

The only downside is so many people still announcing how they are leaving, but keep posting about it over and over.
The irony of using Twitter to announce how Twitter is broken is beyond any parody possible to imagine

It’s amazing how quickly a Blue Check has become the new MAGA hat, I think we should all be grateful that Musk can’t run for president. Many temporarily embarrassed millionaires willing to pay $8 a month to have the richest man in the world justify to them that they don’t have to be good, nice, reasonable, introspective people to get those millions they so deserve. Just be a big bully.
Musk sues non-profit for saying hate has only increased on his watch. Unrelated, anti-semite Kanye West has been reinstated to twitter.

Dear followers, the thing is:
I'm not doing X. I'm not a commodity.
A thread.
1/ Twitter has been an important source of information for me for years.
I also made acquaintances that I value a lot. Thank you - to all of you!
But I'm also done with the corporate freewheeling, the treatment of users as fodder, the rampant verbal violence, the direction.
Especially this:
Quote:
3/ People still think what MurX is doing is business. But a confused, disfunctional twitter is exactly what the populist right seeks. It breeds on that. It's gutting the 'information marketplace' like it does politics, by destroying structure, by making disinformation mainstream.

Users can now hide their blue check mark of shame, but don’t worry they will still have their posts boosted in the rankings just like you would expect from a free speech absolutist.
