Sometimes I wonder, is Elon inept, does he think his target audience is inept, or both. Anyone paying attention would know about Apple’s 30% fee using the apple store because of a giant lawsuit between Epic and Apple just last year.
Elon doesn’t even get it right, as one of the contentions is that Apple prevents companies from placing an additional 30% tax on app store sales, requiring the company to either charge more across the board or eat the apple fee.
If you told me Elon’s twitter was a parody meant to make him look inept at technology and the internet, I would believe you.

The new Twitter is awesome right now. The lack of censorship means a constant stream of new videos from China, showing the tanks rolling in, the street fighting, the awful police violence, especially against women, the sheer size of the protest that have spread all over the country.
Old Twitter, and especially Apple controlled Twitter, never allowed those videos to stay up.
The footage from Wuhan is especially stark, and inspiring, to be able to see the Chinese people rise up against a fascist regime.
No other outlet allows it.

If you search YouTube for china protest 2022, you don't really see any of the actual shit going down (same for the web search)
You search Twitter for china protest 2022 and you see a massive amount of actual footage, better than any fake news coverage of the events

In Chinese, they're being drowned out by Chinese regime spambots using the same hashtags (such as Shanghai or Wuhan) to make searches for the protests in Chinese full of irrelevant material. And because Twitter's moderation teams have been slashed, including teams meant to stop such propaganda efforts, they've been pretty successful.

Elon Musk has lots of business interests in China - he wants to sell Teslas there, he wants to manufacture Teslas there. Despite being a big "free speech warrior" he has had fuck-all to say about free speech in China. Despite being a big critic of California's COVID-mitigation mandates, he's had fuck-all to say about China's Zero Covid strategy of draconian lockdowns rather than vaccinations. Despite your ridiculous fanfic about Musk (presumably you think* he's responsible for changing policy on Twitter to allow anti-CCP videos) being a champion of freedom in China, he recently called for Taiwan to be annexed by China. As far as I know, he hasn't said a single thing supportive of freedom in Taiwan, Hong Kong or China.
It's far more likely that he's going to censor Twitter for the sake of improving Tesla/SpaceX's business in China than that he will stand up to them. There's no evidence in his history (that I've ever heard of) of him standing up for freedom against authoritarian regimes.
He's not alone in that. Hollywood and the NBA and others also shamefully censor content and their stars to satisfy the Chinese regime. But it's actually a good argument for why the government shouldn't have allowed Musk to buy Twitter, and why China shouldn't be allowed to operate TikTok in the US. Allowing Chinese censorship and propaganda to infiltrate US media/social media is a legitimate concern and I think the US government should do more to counter such efforts.
*honestly, you're probably knowingly lying, because the level of idiocy here is pretty difficult to believe. Twitter has been blocked within China for a long time, and it isn't because Twitter was following Chinese censorship demands.

I see a number of results on YouTube related to the protests. Especially if you filter them to be more recent (Twitter search tends to prioritize recent content more than YouTube). Likewise, a search for China and protests brings up plenty of videos about it.
Clearly YouTube isn't taking down any and all videos about the protests. So what's your claim here?
