I wonder how many fake Elon Musk twitter accounts exist? Someone should take one, have it make lots of tweets damaging to Tesla, and get a popular account to quote-tweet them. I deactivated my Twitter account a long time ago. It's just too toxic. I did like how available people are, like Dinesh D'Souza's wife started posting stuff directly on my page and sharing it. Dinesh then took notice and started a thing with me. Sebastion Gorka sent me a DM that was nothing but curse words. That one I printed out and put on my wall. Ivanka and Jr both replied to my comments. After a bit of interacting with these people, it occurred to me just how broke they are. I started to feel bad like I was making fun of handicapped people are something. Dinesh is just full retard, baiting him was so simple that it wasn't fun. All in all, Twitter is a troll universe and I'm better off without it.

Well, we may not be famous here at FF, but we are very well versed at trolling. We've had the best trolls come through here and you learn a thing or two. Then I just worked the algorithms so that it was a high likelihood that they would see the post. But you know, not as many real people as you think reply to their posts anyway. Twitter is a big lie. And you know what else, Dinesh and his wife are truly sad lonely people.

You know what got Dinesh, I accused him of being a paid foreign operative that hates the United States. He went ballistic and that is when his wife took notice. I'm not casting aspersions, but that hit a button for some reason. I think Gorka just sits around all day sending hate DMs out to everybody, he may even have an app that does it for him. Also, we were all in quarantine at the time.

If this leak is accurate, what I said about these changes making it easier for bots and fakes is far worse than I thought.

I had thought that there would just be far fewer verified users on Twitter. But some corporations probably would've still paid for verification on their customer service accounts and so on. But this suggests they will conflate simple paid subscribers with verified accounts. Which will both make it incredibly easy for scammers to trick people into thinking they're official accounts while destroying the value of having a blue check for those users that really need for users to be able to trust the blue check. And even if Twitter attempts to moderate such abuse, Musk is proposing to make massive cuts to the moderation budget from what I can tell, while creating a situation that will require significantly more moderation.

But I'm sure FX and a bunch of idiots will argue that making Twitter into a scammer's paradise is just business genius. That's what brought all those users to the platform, right?

Not only are celebrities not going to pay Musk for a blue check if these policies go through, they won't want to use Twitter at all! Why would a celebrity (or really anyone prominent) want to use Twitter when their DMs are going to get filled up with messages from, at best, spammers, and at worst, deranged stalkers?

Since Musk’s ego is personally invested, I wonder how much money he’s going to throw down the hole.

For the geniuses in the back two of the reason’s twitter is as popular as it is, is that everyone is basically equal, and you can be certain famous people and agencies are at least connected to that famous person, if not the famous person outright.

I presume once he realizes that millions of users doesn’t mean millions of subscribers he’s going to coax the whales, the ‘power users’ with add ons, upgrades, features, abilities, powerups.

At that point the free users will start to realize that they’re the product while the whales pay to show off and dominate them, not willing to just sit around and let people trash them for nothing, they leave.

That’s when you implement the bots!

And none of this is that surprising because all you need to do is throw in twitter currency and a gambling mechanic and I’ve just described Mobile gaming.
