I can send it to you flat rate through USPS but it might be a tad bit icky by the time it gets there. Solution? Boil 1 qt water, stir in 3 c sugar. Bring off the stove, dip a Lipton tea bag in for 30 seconds, cool, die of type 2 diabeetus.

Why would you UNDERLINE EVERY FUCKING WORD IN THE CHAPTER IN A LIBRARY BOOK!?? Wouldn't NOT UNDERLINING ANY WORDS have served the same purpose and not destroyed my reading experience, you nit-tard?

Re: New And Improved Rant Thread, now with 50% more profanity!
The odd problem of my joints hurting (as mentioned previously but I'm too lazy to link so go search for it yourself) has migrated to my right hand also, so the middle of my key board is now a torture device. Good goddamned thing I only work on a computer 8-10 hours a day.
Thanks to Obamacare, the doctor has been unable to see me for the last 2 months. I go later this week. He'll prolly tell me nothing and recommend I see another guy in a couple more months. Or perscribe me pills based on the fact some pharmacy rep brought in donuts last week.
Fuckity Fuck Fuck Fuck uses all four hurty fingers. So I'm changing fuck to polx from now on. If you polxers don't like it, go polx yourself.
You too Obama.
That is all.

I have keyboards like this (except one is black and wireless) on the two desktops I use the most.
Pretty good, providing you can touch type, and they keep your wrists at a more natural angle. They were called the 'Microsoft natural keyboard'. I think they, or something similar, are still available.
I still have to use laptop computers too - and of course their keyboards are the regular kind - but I don't find any problems when switching between the different layouts.

Re: New And Improved Rant Thread, now with 50% more profanity!
I'm tired of people at exhibitions photographing every fucking thing instead of just looking at the exhibits.
It's better, in my opinion, to look at exhibitions or museums or art galleries or similar when they're pretty deserted: when that's not possible then I can tolerate the smelly hoards - but in days of old it was just the people I had to look past - now it's people plus a shield of fucking iPhones and tablets being held up in the air blocking the view.
And what do people do with all these photos? If they want to bore their friends with photos of the exhibits, I'm sure there is usually a website where there are already photos taken by experts under ideal lighting conditions.
I suppose these blithering idiots need the photos to look at later as they never actually have any time to look at the actual real-life 3D exhibits right in front of them - they are too busy with their fucking photographic equipment to do that.

I have the 4000 version in black with a zoomer key in the middle. Didn't even realize it had a zoomer key, so I'm zooming in and out on the text right now. Cool.
It still hurts the fingers and knuckles when I type. Soft keying it and typing a little slower seems to help.

Ugh! Shutterbugs in museums are one of my pet peeves. When I went to Europe I couldn't even get near the Mona Lisa because of the crowd of flashes.
In DFW, photography is prohibited from most exhibits. Some museums will allow you to photograph their privately held works, but not all, so most people ask. You can request permission for some exhibits, but it is a lot of red tape and you better have a reason. Contra has permission at a couple museums, but has only used it a few times when there weren't good examples available online for his students.
Small and private showings and galleries it is seriously frowned upon. You better be taking that picture show your spouse before you buy or something like that. Still, ask permission.
When we travel though, it drives me crazy that other places allow it all willy-nilly. If you need it that much, go to the gift shop and support the museum/artist/real photographer with your money.

Re: New And Improved Rant Thread, now with 50% more profanity!
Keyboards. I've been recently demoted to working the sweatshop version of my job, watching over the fracked up fracking gas in fracking Pennsylvania. Yeah, I know, frack my life. I feel like Milton and I think they have my stapler. One of these days I'm going t blow...
Oh well, onward. On this desk is the tiniest fracking Dell piece of shit keyboard. One of the commands I have to use perhaps hundreds of times a day is ScrollLock-ScrollLock-1, 2, 3, or 4 in order to switch from one system to another. That's right, there are three PCs on this fracking desk, and fifteen monitors. This fracking miniscule keyboard has the Scroll Lock button offset to the left from the numeric keypad so far as to make it damned fracking hard to get used to, not to mention the button itself is a mere toy button. It's like it's a keyboard for ants, I tell you.
Swears: frack and Pennsylvania

It can be embarassing enough to admit that you live near Santa Cruz since we make the national news regularly for being weird and it's worse when the closest little town to you has one stop light and a Bigfoot museum. Having the national media show up to film the Bigfoot museum and put it on Animal Planet is just too much. There were crazy people lined up all over the place and they're still here taking in the scenery and tromping around the woods getting poison oak and scaring the deer. I almost hope that they meet a mountain lion instead and get eaten. We already have enough home-grown crazy but at least they're interestingly weird and not just gullible.

The Art Institute in Chicago's rule is no flash photography. IIRC, they don't allow tripods, either.
I'll admit to taking pictures when there.

Re: New And Improved Rant Thread, now with 50% more profanity!
I'll cop to taking pictures in art museums (most of the ones I've been to allow pictures, but no flash), but not just straight up pictures of the pieces. Like, I have some shots my old roommate and I took of each other imitating the poses of various sculptures at the IMA. Or, when we were in LA a couple months ago we went to the MOMA, and one of the pieces was a storm of big blue cartoony raindrops hanging from the ceiling in the center of a white room, so I took a picture of the SO from the opposite side of the cloud. Stuff like that.

I took a picture at the High museum in Atlanta (sans flash) and got busted out by the security guy, but it was too late! I already had my picture! It was of a sculpture of a woman with a veil over her face and I was just mind-blown that someone could sculpt a fucking gauzey veil out of goddamn marble.

HOLY CRAP.
I was just getting out of the shower when I heard something that sounded like a golem or something going "AAAAAAAAAAAAghghghAAAAAghgh" through a megaphone. Not even kidding. It sounded really really close and like human but not quite, sort of like some goats do sometimes, except creepier. And louder, but loud like artificially amplified somehow. Like with distortion.
On further investigation and analysis, I'm pretty sure it's just the worst sounding industrial weed whacker ever, but STILL. DON'T FUCKING DO THAT.
SMEGMA.

It wasn't me. I'm a simple poor blind widow from Africa who recently fell into a large inheritance from my late husband working outside the country to support our family. Unfortunately, the bank in Kenya will not deposit the funds in Nigeria without a transfer fee that I won't have until I collect the money. If you could help me in the transfer I'm willing to pay you a handsome reward. Please forward the transfer fee of $2,000 to my bank in Nigeria and I will deposit $10,000 back into your account after the transactions are completed.
Sincerely,
Ayotunde Burundi.
