Don't you see what you're doing Spacemonkey? Because you don't like the conclusions Lessans drew, you are doing anything you can to make sure that your worldview is not damaged in any way. It's so obvious to me.

LOL. Just as clueless as ever.

No one gives a fuck about Lessans' world view, except to point and laugh at it and to shake our heads in amazement at how anyone could be so fucking dumb. As for "our" world view, anyone of us here would be thrilled and delighted to see our best scientific theories overturned and wondrous new discoveries made. You, and you alone, are terrified of having your "world view" overturned, because you will have realized that you have wasted your life on this utter nonsense. I can imagine how terrifying that must be for you, which is why you will never give up your delusion.

peacegirl, Lessons has nothing to do with your insanity. What makes you insane is that after all this time and all your posts you haven't been able to figure out that for you posting here is a lost cause. A profoundly lost cause. A sane person would have figured that out many thousands of posts ago.

You really do need to get help.

Lessans conclusions are irrelevant, peacegirl. You could post the whole book free of charge for the whole world to see, and it would be laughed off as crackpottery not unlike The Time Cube. You are the draw, your steadfast adherence to nonsense is interesting and disturbing and a challenge to see if reason and rationality have any impact.

Your anger is so disproportionate to the discussion. All you do is attack. I'm not going to start defending myself again David. Think what you want.

I'm not angry. As The Lone Ranger pointed out long ago (but with your little goldfish brain you can't even recall that you told the college instructor of biology that he needed to go back to school) I, like he, am only offended at your egregious, willful ignorance. It is offensive, as is your rank dishonesty. You are equal parts dishonest and willfully ignorant, and it's also offensive that there is some small chance that you will make money off your stupid book by duping the gullible. All in all you are an enormously offensive person -- loathsome, really, to again quote TLR.

And here you are, still posting after promising to stop posting. Do you have any honesty in you at all?

Oh, dear, you've improved upon the introduction.

After the free, college-level education you received here from your moral and intellectual betters, betters whom you've repeatedly spat upon, you've improved upon the introduction.

The only way you could improve upon the introduction is if it said: "Stop reading right now."

I'm not dishonest in any way, and I'm certainly not willfully ignorant. That's just an excuse to avoid having to face up to the fact that science may have gotten it wrong.

I never said I wouldn't report back from time to time. And what's it to you anyway? Why in the world would someone who feels the way you do, still be posting? It makes no sense.

If by 'revised' you really mean 'deleted', along with 99% of the rest of the book, I would say that was a good thing, and perhaps it could be reduced to the few core ideas that Lessans was trying to push, that were possibly worth discussing. Not that there was anything worth believing but the discussion could be interesting.

You're an absolutely dishonest little cretin.

As to what you said about The Lone Ranger, you seem to forget that you denied saying it. Only after you were caught out in your lie, did you change the subject to try to justify why you said it. Of course your justification is total bullshit as well.

You see, pecegirl, you come here, before your intellectual betters and moral superiors who spent countless hours trying to educate your sorry ass, and what do you tell us? That thanks to our efforts, you revised the introduction, to eliminate redundancies.

This, of course, is an insult to us, your betters, but all you can do is whine about how you are the one is insulted. Yet the most insulting person in these discussions has always been you.

This pretty sums up not only that she's wilfully ignorant, but it shows why she is dishonest -- she's dishonest just in virtue of denying her blatant dishonesty!

Davidm, Peacegirl comes back yesterday at 4:06 and has posted 14 times, you have posted 11 times, everyone else has posted 12 times. You admonish everyone to stop posting and feeding Peacegirls craving for attention, but who is feeding it the most? Who is the most addicted to this thread?

It wouldn't change anything Lone Ranger, because your essay (which, by the way, is very well done in my opinion) describes the different parts of the eye, but it is not enough to discredit Lessans' claim of efferent vision.

I rearranged different sections so it read more smoothly, and I also took out a few passages. It is much more concise, but if I took out everything people complained about, I would have to write a new book, which I'm sure everyone would relish.

Post a link, and some of us might take a look? Not much chance of anyone here buying it after seeing the original.
