Giant Lego Man washes up on Dutch beach

A giant, smiling Lego man was fished out of the sea in the Dutch resort of Zandvoort on Tuesday.

Workers at a drinks stall rescued the 2.5-metre (8-foot) tall model with a yellow head and blue torso.

"We saw something bobbing about in the sea and we decided to take it out of the water," said a stall worker. "It was a life-sized Lego toy."

It seems it's a statement from a group that wants people to get off the internet and get to know the 'real world'. The statement is that a legoman in the real world is just as ridiculous as a human in the virtual world.

I'm forced to dredge up this thread again as Lego Man is on the move again (and apparently journalists are too dumb/lazy/ignorant to figure out he's been spotted before):
