Well it was an insane heat wave here the last 2 days. 38C Mon and 40C Tues. So we mostly stayed inside in the dark and watched all of Severance and Only Murders in the Building (as well as some Orville and Ms Marvel).
I loved both of them. Severance was insane and they better fucking explain some of this shit in Season 2. Sou and I had lots of convos on whether the innies and outties are the same person and the ethical implications. As well as what we would do as innies. Really great show and I was super sad when it finished and I couldn't binge another season.
Only Murders in the Building was fun and funny. Love the two Martins so much. Now we're caught up on Season 2 and have to wait for them to come out each week
Recently read an article that re-inspired me to find Miracle Workers. I purchased season 1.
In season 1, Daniel Radcliffe and Geraldine Viswanathan are angels Craig and Eliza, assigned to the miracles department, they make a bet with God, they will perform one impossible miracle in 2 weeks or God blows up the Earth. It's rather silly, and Radcliffe and Viswanathan are great comic performers.
Netflix has a Jeffery Daumier series, a drama not a documentary. I’ve been watching it for 5 minutes and three times have heard Jeffery WHAT is that smell?? You said you you threw out that bad meat last week. And, mo offensive man but it stinks in here. I’m a sick bastard I’m gonna watch the whole thing

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this one yet, but on hulu, and I believe it originated with FX, is a show called The Patient. The episodes are only about 30 minutes long, and right now is up to episode 8. It's good and turns out to be deeper and more meaningful than at first glace. I have been watching it week by week, but if you haven't seen it it's a good short binge fest and I don't think you'll be disappointed. It stars Steve Carrell and David Allen Greer, to name a few.

Shudder got season 1 of "Dragula". IIRC, season 1 was independently produced and put on YouTube. Seasons 2 and 3 were on various platforms and wound up on Shudder when it produced Season 4. I'm presuming Shudder got season 1 to help hype the next season, which which will be an all-stars season.
Season 1 is interesting, but it's a lot less produced. Based on the length of each show (30 minutes vs. 1 hour) there's less backstage drama (good IMO), but it also spends less time with each performance (not so good).
Also, "Chucky" season 1 came up on Peacock, and I ate that up.
There is a series streaming now on Peacock. It’s called A Friend of the Family. There is a documentary which came out some years ago called Gone I Plain Sight. Or something similar. Anyway if you watch either one it will blow your mind. And then you’ll puke. Seriously, you’re gonna love it

Yes Crumb that’s it! Have you seen one or the other? I really do think it’s the craziest thing I’ve seen in my 56 years of living and I’ve seen ALOT of crazy shit. Both personally and on the tv

I've seen Abducted in plain sight because an old school mate of my partner was involved in the production. We did an ad for the series and we both were like, wait is that based on the same story? it is quite a story.

I watched the first one, it seemed cool, but I felt like I would rather binge it.
I’ll pick it back up. Do now how many eps will be in season 1.
I don’t care for the opening line of the trailer, but I really liked the show. The last ep of season 1 aired a couple weeks ago. I have no idea if there is a season 2.
It’s really good adult animation. I mean it tells a story that could be live action in a serious way. It is good science fiction in regards to some of the ideas that it explores. Like much sci-fi there are bits of absurdity here and there.
The premier episode is available on YouTube I believe.
We watched it on Prime because we have the AMC+ add on.

Not sure but right now they are on episode six.

Pretty crazy right? And this was in the 70s and the people were strict Mormons. That fucker groomed the whole entire family. Oh and yeah. Based on same sordid story.

I watched the first two episodes of The Peripheral. I started reading the book a while ago, and put it down, so I really can't say how true the series is to the book. The visuals are very impressive. We'll see if it can hold my interest.
I'm really looking forward to the new season of Slow Horses on Apple+. I adore Gary Oldman, and I'm a sucker for cynical, LeCarre-ish spy stories.

Okay, I am definitely hooked.
Light 1st episode/general show setup spoilers behind tag
Im as chained to the show as Steve Carrell is to that bed. Dumhnall Gleeson (bill Weasley and about time) is really great as Sam. I’m five episodes in. The basic concept of killer/therapist continues to play out in fun dramatic ways.

I just finished the last episode, episode 10.
You won’t be disappointed.

You were right! I really enjoyed the show and that finale.
I’m trying to keep the spoilers light but here be major spoilers
given the kidnapped psychiatrist setup and earlier deaths, Alan dying was foreseeable, even inevitable. I liked how it played out. I like the idea that Alan won in death. Sam can’t be cured but he could be contained. I also enjoyed how his mom wasn’t crazy pants evil, she wouldn’t turn her son in, but she wanted him to stop and indeed Sam himself wanted to stop. I think ultimately the show was earnest, and I enjoyed that.
Also David Allen Greer was delightful
I found the show pretty dark but thoroughly enjoyable.
My current progrum is A friend of the Family. Which I posted about previously. I was in the middle of the latest episode when Peacock kicked me out. I hate being kicked out of my progrum.

I just watched that myself too.
Like Vm posted, I mentioned it in the Netflix thread.
I loved Stanley Tucci and Tennant and the actress who played the maths tutor.
