Mookie, or should I say Pukey, has lost her bed privileges. Three mornings in a row of having to launder either the duvet or the mattress pad was three mornings too many. We took away her stairs and now she sleeps in her little bed on the floor next to our main bed. She does okay most of the night, but starts whining early in the morning. Then bey, who is a sucker, goes out and sleeps on the recliner with her. 
We know that pomeranians and chihuahuas can have esophagus problems, and we brought that up with the vet, but they said her esophagus is fine. She does however love to eat mulch and all kinds of other non-food detritus. I guess it's no harm done as long as her body rejects the bad stuff, which it does vehemently. Directly onto our fancy bedding. Only not anymore.

We have several little beds for the girls around the house.
Mookie has one on my side of the bed. I moved it so I can pet her and comfort her.
Since she was a baby when she spent most of her time living in the pen, when one of us would reach down she would put both of her arms on our arm and try to hold on. We call it koalabearing.
So when I reached down to pet her, Mookie just kept koalabearing my arm. I am indeed a sucker

I'm annoyed at my vet. They didn't want to renew my elderly dog's pain medication until they did a liver function check. That's fine, so I did, and got the results. They renewed my prescription for 4 more days for my dog's chronic pain. I ordered more online, and it's been 3 days since I ordered, and the vet hasn't approved it.
I've been 1/2 dosing him to stretch this out a bit, but it's almost certain that he'll be out before I get more. This is tempting me to leave this practice.

The family was helping Mrs. Reasons put a Halloween banner over the garage door, we got a visit from "Oh shit I'm lost."
Smokey is his "real" name, but 2 years ago, also when we were setting up for Halloween, this very friendly cat decided it would check out our garage and come to everyone for pets. This cat seemed way, way too friendly for an outdoor cat, and it was wearing a collar, which said, "Oh shit I'm lost!" and a number. I called the number, and it was our newest neighbor at the time. The cat is mostly an outdoor cat, and it was fine, even though the text on the collar might suggest otherwise. They've changed his tags, but he's still known to us as "Oh shit I'm lost"
So, like today, we petted the cat and continued with our business, and eventually "Oh shit I'm lost" wandered away. We see him around the neighborhood. Every once in a while he tries to come into our house, but he stops when he sees the puppies. He's cool with Booberry, who is too old to be riled up about cats, and will at most trundle up to and sniff him.
