Fucking Walmart! I hate doing business with them but they were the only people who still had a pan set that I desperately wanted and the manufacturer wasn't offering anymore. Plus the closeout price was $50 less than the lowest price I had ever found, so I ordered it site to store.

Yesterday was my day off. I didn't check my e-mail for a confirmation, but since the last notice had said it was on its way to the store from the warehouse on Wednesday, I went by to pick it up. They punched in my name and told me it wasn't there. I questioned how it could take more than two days to ship from a city 3 hours away, but she was unhelpful so I went home, pissed off. Today I open my e-mail and there is a message from 7:24AM yesterday saying my order was in.

BASTARDS!!!!! They had it all the time and now I have to make a second trip when it is totally inconvenient just because the idiot didn't look for it properly. GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

So we have this gigantic stupid table thing sitting on the porch, but the dumb Freecycle and 'poor man's Freecycle whatever it's called' list moderators BOTH put all posts in a queue for all kinds of dumb little policy edits and stuff like making sure colons are in the right place and stuff, then maybe get around to spooging them all out once every other day or so. Seriously, people. They're mailing lists where people give away free stuff. We're not launching nuclear missiles here.

The muse stuck me right after I thought of the idea to do some kind of Rock Against Patriarchy tour or theme in the future. The song is basically at the same time a rant against patriarchy, so that makes it topical for this thread.

Why not rock against patriarchy? Rock will always be alive as long as there are any rockers rocking. So how ’bout we rock against patriarchy! Otoh if rock is really a fossil we can use some other genre(s) of music. The message and the sheer fun of it all are both more important than genre.

I’m SURE the lyrics can be improved, since like I just said, I wrote it in like two minutes on the fly. But I think even as is some of you will enjoy it.

Customer service is apparently not part of UPS' core mission. I guess that wouldn't be a problem if delivery also weren't part of their mission. Also, having to fight with the automated telephone system does not improve my mood for when I finally get to a live person.

I would be less annoyed if I hadn't paid for expedited shipping for an order that qualified for free shipping. I don't believe I have ever received UPS expedited shipping in the appropriate time frame, when I think about it.

ETA: My package will arrive between 5-6 pm today. I will believe it when I see it.
