IMO the idea of ‘being trolled’ is the new version of ‘it was just a joke.’

If a bunch of ‘trolls’ come up with the idea to ‘fake’ a white power sigh but also happen to be baby-white-supremmacist, or white supremacist adjacent, is the sign really fake or is it just a new sign not yet fully adopted made by people who think themselves so much more clever than they really are.

Similar to people who constantly ‘play devils advocate’ but do so for one side and not the other, are they really playing devils advocate or are they just trying to slip in shit views without taking personal responsibility for those shit views, and at what point does the distinction just no longer matter because damage is being done.

Colby Covington is an mma fighter in the UFC. He developed a heel schtick some time ago and then layered MAGA nonsense on top of it. He would wear a MAGA hat and talk shit.

He has also referred to Kamaru Usman as having a tribe and communicating with smoke signals. Kamaru's nickname is the Nigerian Nightmare, but he grew up in America. It would be fucked up and racist regardless, but it's also stupid. At other times, Colby calls Kamaru Marty. A different fight started that shit, but it stems from when he was in college and people called him Marty "americanizing" his name, and implying he isn't really black or African.

The point being that Colby is a racist piece of shit. Many of his supporters on r/mma make fun of people who don't appreciate his rhetoric as falling for his schtick.

First time they fought, Usman broke Colby's jaw in the third round and then finished him in the 5th. They fought again last weekend, and Usman won a decision.

During the leadup to their second fight, Colby also talked alot of shit about how Usman's dad was in prison for medicaid fraud (which did occur), but it's also race baiting bullshit and has nothing to do with Usman's character.

After the fight, Colby said some shit in the wring like "nothing personal, just about the money or hype."

Racist apologists have long argued that saying or doing something doesn't prove that someone is racist. I think this is a bullshit rhetorical ploy, but is also because of the overlap of evangelicals (who care deeply about the state of people's hearts) and racists.

I don't really care why you are spewing racist crap. If you are doing it to fuck with others or because you truly believe makes no tangible difference.

It is incomplete. We have searched less than half of the property records for the years (1923 and 1950) when restrictions were legally enforceable. Do not assume that blank areas were free of restrictions.

The PNW - normally considered a liberal haven - has a racist history that people would rather not focus on. These deed covenants are unenforceable but often remain because it takes time, money and effort to remove. Starting next year, King County will allow you to remove the racist language for a court filing and a small amount of money..

What do you expect in liberal California where the current Vice-President of the United States, as State Distinct Attorney of California, locked up a higher percentage of black people than any state in the union?
