Re: Miscellany
I just saw our minister for foreign affairs walking to work all alone. In the cold.
To be clear: he was walking. I'm not walking anywhere!

Re: Miscellany
Goats on Fire is not a new thing, Sweden's been doing it for 50 years, a long tradition of Christmas arson.
They could just make it officially supposed to be on fire, but what's the fun in that?

That minister, you know the one, Smithers. The one who's always standing and walking!

Re: Miscellany
Do they actually construct that goat in Sweden or do they import it from Luxembourg from The Store That Sells Things Made of Straw?

I hate you and The Man for this. This album cover traumatized me as a child. One of my most vivid memories is happily walking down the hall of my childhood home, turning the corner into the dining room and stopping dead in my tracks because that album was lying on the table. I slowly backed out of the room, not taking my eyes off the evil thing until I was clear, and then took off back the way I'd come. One of my other vivid childhood memories is of being woken up at 8:30 on a Saturday morning by the sound of 21st Century Schizoid Man blaring out of my brother's bedroom on the floor above. So no thanks to either of you for bringing back that trauma.
On a related note, I realized that year that the nose on every jack o'lantern I've ever made is based on that album cover. I guess somethings you never get over.

Feminist propaganda found in a fortune cookie today at dinner.
"The woman who strives for equality with men has lowered her standards."

COOKIE MISANDRY!!
Ok, confession, I like Yahoo! Finance even though it is mostly obvious clickbait and ads.
Most of the clickbait is unmemorable credit card ads (7 OUTRAGEOUS CREDIT CARDS) and penny stocks (ABOUT TO EXPLODE), but I've started noticing that a lot of it is, how might one say, much less than compelling. There's a lot of 90s nostalgia themed stuff, but, like "McCaulay Culkin's Net Worth Finally Revealed?"
Is there a demographic that's been waiting to find out how much money McCaulay Culkin has?

Re: Miscellany
There needs to be an internet law, the more you mention socialism on the internet the more likely a high school libertarian will accuse you of making up any term they dont know and 'educate' you.
