You guys should hire me to sit around and come up with words for stuff you don't have words for. Or come up with better words to replace some of those lame-ass Frenchy ones.

Re: Disaster strikes our proud nation (again)!
Razor blades, like batteries, are very small and very expensive. That makes them great for shoplifting and reselling.

Re: Disaster strikes our proud nation (again)!
At times here in the UK, it's cheaper to buy a new razor complete with spare blades, than it is to buy just a packet of spare blades. The supermarkets display the two offerings right alongside each other; most people can't be bothered to do some simple arithmetic to work out which works out the cheapest per blade.

Re: Disaster strikes our proud nation (again)!
Just like how sometimes it's almost cheaper to buy a new printer than to replace the ink. They both take a loss on the whole unit in order to lock you into their specific brand of replacement. Horrible for the environment, great for the wallet.

Good thing there are sneaky bastards who think it is good for their wallet to make cheaper versions of cartridges for most brands of printer.

Re: Disaster strikes our proud nation (again)!
Some of the printer manufacturers deliberately supply only part-filled 'starter' cartridges with new printers.
HP do this. The first letter after the cartridge number is A for a filled cartridge or G for a starter cartridge which is only 25 to 30% filled.
A good reason to avoid using HP printers whenever possible.

Hell, if you watch slickdeals or another bargain hunting site, you can find decent laser printers for under $100. I don't think I would ever buy another inkjet.

My new Lexmark came like that. It was on sale though, and buying real cartridges still didn't bring the cost up to the MSRP.
I avoided HP due to my previous printer jamming frequently and then not responding for about 5 minutes afterward.

Troubling news from the boar front AGAIN!
According to news reports Luxembourg has an outrageous overpopulation of wild boars!
I'm afraid this is all a plot to throw us into total chaos.

Which one of your neighbours let them out? A Belgian or German backyard?

Ya know, it probably wouldn't cost too much to concrete your whole country. The boars probably wouldn't like it. Maybe Belgium could lend you a trowel and a wheelbarrow.
Think about it.
