Understanding the logic behind the afferent model of sight does not prove that it's airtight.
|
The evidence, however, is compelling. Dare I say it, even scientific. Whereas no evidence has presented for the claim that sight is efferent. That dog just won't hunt, and that astute observation is undeniable.

No, neither David nor Stephen made a mockery of the book, that was done by Lessans long before any of us saw it.

The book was a mockery. Its author was a fool. Its supporter is a liar and a cretin.
That is rather that.

You wound me, sir. To the quick you wound me. You, sir, are a hound and a cad and no gentleman.

He's more of a gentleman than all of you put together.

Rubbish I am more of a gentleman than all of you, I have never had anal sex without asking the woman in question first!
That may sound like a silly argument, but think about it. I don't know you and you certainly don't know any of us that well.
If you want to know how good any piece of work is its best to resort to authority of consensus especially if its about philosophy (yes ironically a consensus of peers is a good start, it doesn't make you right but it makes you respected) or science, hell a resort to authority/peers is all it has. Religion pah you can make up any shit and no one cares or ever will, in that circumstance you might as well just throw some random sentences together add the word Guru to your name and pretend you are the Messiah, no one gives a shit 9/10 anyway.

Enough is enough Angakuk. You're just trying to squeeze as much joke out of this as you possibly can, before I go. Why do you feel compelled to go that low?

You just can't believe sight might actually be efferent, so you never took the book seriously Doctor X.

Although I'm not really on your side, and I'm not sure what you believe or if its credible I would advise that if he bothers you that much you put him on ignore. I did. Sensible policies for a happier Britain.
I don't think you are going to get anywhere with this guy he's just a troll and not a very good one at that. If there is such a thing, I mean you can say the word good and troll in the same sentence, but its kinda of rarer than rocking horse shit to actually find that, and I've never seen one. I think they are a myth like unicorns personally.
Customer service announcement: carry on.

Because that's what friends, or not, do. We feed narcissists and trolls, especially when they are one-in-the-same. Oh, and us feeding your narcissism does not negate it. At least your poor logic, or lack of, is consistant.

"...Henry...stood up for me..."
Not really: no.
I said you were 'harmless'...not exactly the same as standing up for you.
The book (like any other self-help book; like the Bible, the Talmud, the Koran, etc.) is hooey...Grade-A, unadulterated.
And on the day you (or any one) get the power to force the damned book down my throat, THEN we (you and me) will have a problem.
As of now, however: you, the book...harmless.
I wish you no 'ill', PG, but I also wish you no 'well'...*shrug*

This is what Lessans was up against, and he still is. This has nothing to do with getting a concensus of any kind. He didn't need a concensus. Don't you get this? What is everyone said 3 is to 6 what 4 is to 9, but someone came alone and said you're all wrong. What was this man supposed to do?

It doesn't cause narcissism, but it feeds it doc. The truth is I'm not narcisstic, so you are trying, once again, to make me conform to something I'm not just to satisfy your negative opinion of Lessans. Makes good sense to me.
