There are snowdrops and crocuses in my garden now. I just snapped a couple of pics as evidence. I think the daffodils are beginning to sprout too.

We've been experiencing entirely unseasonal weather....it's been sunny, dry and nice in stretches as long as three days. Several times.

I'm sure we're going to 'pay for it'.

I have crocuses, too. And the irises godfry gave me are peeking their heads out, as well.

He's right, the Pacific NW has seen a really mild winter. While I'm not complaining, I am worried that there will be some "complications".

It was nice (50s) today but rain sets in on Wednesday and cooler air returns next week. I'm going to try and just enjoy this break from Winter. If nothing else, time is still passing and moving us closer to the real Spring.

We're getting reports of snowfall in the local area. Yep...freezing level dropped to 500 feet; mixed snow and rain overnight. Current temperature: 33 fucking degrees.

I've got fucking baby chickies out in the garden shed....under a heat lamp. I hope the heat lamp holds out.

It rained all day today, but it's not particularly cold. It's 54°F right now at 3:20AM. There was a tornado out in Western Oklahoma earlier.

BUT! There were heavy winds earlier today - actually woke me in the middle of the night. Up to 50mph gusts.

What was the back yard is bleeding on to the brick patio....just because it's downhill.

Over an inch of rain in the last twenty-four hours. Heavy, but not way out of line...catching up for foregone drizzle over the past three weeks, akshully.

It's the 'payoff' I figured we had coming for the unseasonably pleasant weather.

Was nearly 60°F today. It's been nice since late last week and it's expected to continue for a while. Though, I believe we're supposed to get some rain soon. This will be one of the rare times when I won't mind, though. It'll help wash the salt off the cars and roads and also help to further melt the remaining snow piles.
