SkepticJ

Your links don't work for me, I had to hit the quote button on your post and examine the IMG tags just to see that there even were links. I had thought your "These are all the drawings I've done commenting on religion" followed by ... nothing at all, was some sort of minimalist humor, only your most recent post clued me in that this wasn't the case.

Cutting and pasting the link, I come to a page that says "You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:" among other things...

Woops. Godless Wonder's right. I totally thought it was the minimalist humor thing because the embeds are invisible. Sorry about that, SkepticJ.

How do I make them show up? On the computers at college I can see them but the one I'm on now doesn't show them. :chin: :glare:

Find some better webhosting for your pictures that allows deep linking. I would suggest photobucket.com which is what I've been using, but I heard they quit handing out free memberships. There's a photodump.com that I think I've seen people using... don't know anything about it though.

You are a true artist.
The sky is calm, the mountains remain distant. A waterfall?
The shade of the sun in lavendar, fantastic.

If I may dare to comment on one little detail: The bum of the girl seem not quite right, since she is sitting.

Highly impressed. Thank you very much indeed.

Wow. Everything Gavin said and then some. I love the bold colors, the pattern on the floor, the shadows. It's beautiful, Godless Wonder.

Next time don't wait to be asked. ;)

Haha. There's a scene I remember near the end of one of those star wars movies with Anakin and Princess Amygdala or whatever her name was, I remember thinking, hmm, that reminds me of a Maxfield Parrish painting. So I'll take "Naboo."

Haven't worked on that one much lately though, my brain is fried from looking at it for too long. Today I did a landscape...

8x10 inches, acrylic on canvas, it's got a few problems, but not too terrible for only 3.5 hours work.

Pretty scary good for 3.5 hours work, I'd say. Was this a live painting or did you do it from a picture or memory?

From a photo. There's an art site called wetcanvas.com that has a weekly drawing event (WDE), where each week somebody posts some (about 15) photos, and you have a half hour to choose a pic, then work on it for a couple hours, then post your results, finsihed or not, then finish up, and post that. It's kind of fun, though I don't do it very often, only ifif I'm in the mood and one of the photos seems worthwhile. Linky. I'm "metalhead" over there in case you care to lurk.

A really weird piece inspired by my desire this year to teach myself Russian history and too little sleep.

1) I know it's shit.

2) It's not vector art.

3) Comrade Lenin was traced from an old Soviet propaganda poster that I found in a history book. The original artist was not credited in the book, so I'm just going to post a big "Don't Copyright Fuck My Arse PLZKTHX" here.
