We have rain turning to snow. Talked to a well tech in PA this morning saying it was starting to snow and expecting 2-3 feet of snow. No ice, just snow. I could live with that, I think.

I drove to Asheville last night for an 8:30 am hearing. Most of it wasn't too bad, even with a bit of rain and snow, except the big climb on I-40 before the last little bit before Asheville. This morning, at 7:30 am, the hearing was canceled. The longest drive of my life, in terms of life energy, was the way back home. Slushy roads, including going over the mountain, where it was also so foggy that you couldn't see more than a car length in front of you. Then torrential rain all the way back to the Triangle, which over the bridges created large puddles b/c the scraped snow/dirt/slush made a dam that trapped the water.
It's cold and wet and miserable out there right now. WHEN IS SPRING?

It was snowing again this morning, but seems to have stopped. Not only that, but despite the forecast high of 32  it seems to have gotten above freezing. Water and bits of ice/snow are falling out of the trees and from the power lines.

After three days, it's finally stopped snowing. I could have gone to work today, except for the windrow of ice/snow left by the plow at the bottom of the driveway. Well, I could have moved that this morning if not for 1) the probability of it returning during the day and 2) the windchill of 4 F

Sun was shining this afternoon and almost all of the snow has gone. Started raining later. It's definitely above zero now.
