Shite. Cartoon Planet was an awesome mash-up, one of the first iirc. The Brak Show was stupidly hilarious. Coast to Coast was sometimes uneven but usually pretty funny, especially when the guests didn't "get" the premise.
“Thank you all you tweeters and facebookers for the love and prayers for my good health. Love is the best medicine. God bless you all!” Tutu tweeted on Monday.
His message comes after rumours of his “death” started circulating on social media earlier on Monday following a number of fake reports.
Years ago when we were trying to decide what to name our dog Zsa Zsa, one of my stepson's friends suggested Thundercles. That suggestion did not prevail, but it wasn't for lack of my support.

Well, now I know why they tweeted out a picture of Space Ghost sitting alone looking depressed. I had missed who it was that died, though it was obvious they were alluding to one.

It seems a lot of famous people have died this year, more than usual. In all likelihood, though it isn't a statistical aberration. I am not at all sad that Phyllis Schafly died.

Under no circumstances should Quentin Tarantino be allowed to befoul Star Trek.
I don’t follow professional sports much these days but it generally seems to be agreed he was a tremendously talented pitcher with a bright future in front of him. He also evidently saved his mother from drowning when they defected from Cuba. If the LGM comments are correct, it also appears he’d just learned he was going to be a father. A tragic loss.

Palmer was my first guess for third hugely famous sports star from the Seventies after Ali and Howe died. What do I win?

His subversive humour won him a cult status, but also saw him periodically hounded off stage and television in an attempt by the Italian establishment to muzzle him.
He stirred controversy with his 1969 work Mistero Buffo, a retelling of the Christian gospels in an improvised format. Controversy over his work led to him being banned by Italian state broadcaster Rai for 14 years and refused a visa to the US.
He maintained his political commitment past his 90th birthday, enthusiastically endorsing the maverick Five Star Movement and comparing its anarchic, foul-mouthed founder Beppe Grillo to one of the heroes of his own chaotic comedies.
King Bhumibol became a unifying father figure and rare source of stability for a nation that has weathered more than a dozen coups since he came to power in 1946 aged just 18.
But the constitutional monarch has been absent from public life for years and his death throws an already politically turbulent Thailand into a haze of uncertainty that is unprecedented in its modern history.

If there is a God, Chick is currently being forced to play death a game of D&D for his soul. RIP Jack Chick, father of the Satanic Panic / Boing Boing
Man, that brings back to the dawn of IIDB. It's the first place I ever saw a Chick tract. When years later I found one in a random bathroom somewhere, I was suffused with joy at finally encountering a Chick tract in the wild.
