I wish you'd come visit Denver again and drink pretty pink martinis with me.

I am something of a martini purist.
I think pink martinis might just be a mortal sin and makes god cry.
|
Dude, when you're drinking them with Aspen Mama, you won't care if they are pink, blue, purple or Prestone anti-freeze yellow-green.
AspenMama, I'll come back again... someday.
|
That'd be really cool. Thanks for the kudos.

Stephen King, I think. Can't recall the pen name he was using though. It was in a collection of stories that included the basis for the movie Running Man.
Of course, I could be totally wrong.

He wrote "The Running Man" under the pen name Richard Bachman.

Re: I'm a thread killing sumbitch.
Going back to the OP, I'm beginning to feel kinda invisible, myself. In fact, I wonder if more people than just Shea have put me on their ignore list.

Not me. But, I might be on a number of ignore lists. Maybe that is why nobody responds to some of my posts. Because I seriously doubt it is because I have provided the definitive answer to anything at all, ever.

Re: I'm a thread killing sumbitch.
Well, kiss my threadkilling buttocks, liv might be right, but only in the shear numbers game. I'm sure that I've killed more threads as a percentage than anyone in history.

Re: I'm a thread killing sumbitch.
This might be a combination of taking this thread too seriously and stating the obvious (if not other things as well) so I'll hedge my bets by being mostly facetious:
There's no such thing as thread killing!
Threads rarely run in a purely linear fashion, with each new poster responding to the last. Usually new respondents answer any random point that jumps out at them. So when people stop posting in a thread it's typically an indication of lost interest in the thread as a whole, not just in the last post. And if you disagree, take it up with the first couple people who made a similar point that I'm just totally ripping off here.
Besides liv's right. She's the thread-killer extraordinaire.

I don't know, man. Scotty's got a good candidate in Shake because of his once a week posting and bumping maneuver.
Hmmm... Sounds kinky.

I hardly think lifting threads out of the grave to give 'em a sniff before dropping 'em back in counts as 'killing'. No, no. I think the title is yours.

gold star goes to you.
stephen King wrote Rage, The Long Walk, The Runningman, Thinner and Roadwork all under Richard Bachman and he was going to release Misery under the same name.
The Long Walk is a delightful tale about 100 16-21 year old males who walk at I think 4 miles an hour and if you dont keep pace you get shot, last man walking wins.
great fucking story.
enjoy your gold star.
