Yes, more weapons means clear intent. That's why she was always packing. Really, what a horror for the kids. Something very similar happened to neighbors when I was a kid living in the country. Also, the husband/shooter always seems to be a prison guard or in security, why isn't that a warning sign?

A St. Paul man threatened his daughter with a recently purchased* AK-47 rifle
because her school grades had two 'B's and not all-'A's . He said it wasn't loaded. Bail has been set at $20,000. The daughter has been placed in a shelter.
*recently purchased out of fear the assault rifles would be banned
