ES finished putting together the over four thousand piece coaster, but I put batteries in the battery box and slid the motor on, so we both worked on this.
I also bought the rechargeable batters, so I did most of the work.

Plus, you're doing the documentation, the publication and handling the social media account!
Rebrickable is a website that you can put which lego sets you own and it can tell you which lego sets you can build. They also area marketplace for alternative builds that utilize only the parts of that build.
We got such a plan for the Tower Bridge Lego 10214
This was one of the first really large kits that we did and we did it together. We each put together a tower. Lots of tan pieces.
ES broke down the Tower Bridge all the way and then made the new kit. It is pretty.
Check out that Modular corner unit!!! I have left the top of the roof off, you can see the top floor with a model of Easter Island statues and some of egyptian.
It's a museum!! see the dinoasaurs below!
The top floor comes off and you can see the second floor.
You can see the stairs up to the level with the ancient civilizations and the dinoasuars on this level.
The bottom floor has a cafe where you can get a pastry and a coffee.
The inside of the cafe
bottom floor outside
I love the street lamps and the gemoetric square paneling looks artdecoish.
With the lego Dinosaur Ideas set 21320 we have some great fossil exhibits outside of the museum.
This island might have ancient power in the ruins. Mesa Ladrillos has sent a task force of Nexo Knights and Destiny's Bounty to investigate.
Destiny's Bounty arrives near the island, ready for potential conflict.
Oh no, pirates!! The Barracuda
Nexo Knights and Thor arrive to explore the island while the Bounty engages the pirates.
It does not go well for the Barracuda. The task force acquired the object of power and took it for safekeeping.
What will the Barracuda do?
I guess they will have to make a life for themselves here at Barracuda Bay.
ES put together Barracuda Bay as she does most of our sets. It is a great lego set in either ship and island configuration or in Plankytown configuration as named by ES.
The Cold Commune with attached Orphanareum for Wayward Wayne Wards
When Bobby Drake the Omega level mutant known on Earth 616 as Iceman found himself alone in legoland without the X-men, he wandered without purpose. He soon discovered that there were many beings who suffered under the intense heat of year round average weather as Mesa Ladrillos experiences (it ain't a sphere and no axial tilt, so no seasons). He realized that he could potentially help. Even omega level mutants have limits. Iceman found that Magneto was also in Mesa Ladrillos. They set aside their differences for as problems of a world that they no longer lived in.
They gathered up the cold natured and set about making a home. Along the way they picked up allies and Bobby Drake fell in love with a forlorn Mr Freeze who had lost his wife when she melted in the heat. Never again!
The Cold Commune was formed to help. With the destruction of Wayne Manor, the streets of Mesa Ladrillos were filled with Wayne Wards mucking about. Iceman and Mr Freeze don't have children of their own, but the Wayward Wayne Wards are pretty close.
The Cold Commune - the People's Ice Crystal Palace is on the right and the Orphanareum is on the left. Castle Pandemonium is adjacent with Ivy's Isle being the last building.
I like this sot down the train tracks. I intend to ad white snow and blue translucent ice pieces to the gray base plate as the Cold Commune continues to chill the area it sits on.
The People's Crystal Palace is supposed to be an icy and snowy construction. Much like Ivy's Isle is a realization of Ivy's powers, this is Iceman with the help of other cold wielding people. I used radial symmetry alot on my building planes with various pieces that spiral about. There is a central shaft which is supposed to be like a high tech elevator. Magneto helped design that. Denizens wear clothing with ferrous plates so they can be lifted with magnetism.
The Orphanareum for Wayward Wayne Wards features 4 floors. The bottom floor has machinery and scientists that help make the Commune and orphanareum function. The second floor is living quarters. The third floor is a dining area with house dad Stan Lee and a robot chef with a walk way that goes to Crystal Palace where they can catch the elevator tube. and the fourth floor is also living area/training area. The second and fourth floors have their own entrances that can be reached by a ladder and flying/grappling hook. These floors are living and training areas for the orphans.
I haven't finished out all the interiors yet.
The roof of the Orphanareum which comes off, of course
Top floor I really need to finish this out, right now it just has Damian Wayne and a Batcomputer.
Dining area and kitchen with Stan Lee and Robot chef. I use the brown incredible themed printed panel as communication devices and tv speakers throughout the building.
Nightwing, Cyborg and Starfire all sitting around
Bottom floor is where the magic happens. It's where scientists magnify and store Iceman's power using tech designed by Mr Freeze and others. Unlike the upper floors of the Orphanareum this is is kept cold and so some of the techs are bundled up.
Much like if you take two large blocks of ice and press them together the pressure will cause them to melt enough to fuse together, the struggle to help people of the cold and personal tragedy welded Dr Victor Fries and Bobby Drake together. (also why the hell, isn't he Dr Freeze?)
They have His and His not thrones just large comfy chairs.
There is no lego Iceman, so I am using a Shocker minfig with some modification. I have bought some knockoff xmen minfigs, so there will be some more characters in the future.
We installed some shelves in our living room to increase our Lego space.
We got the Mos Eisley Cantina a couple days ago and JD finished putting it together today.
She builds most of the sets, while I do MOCs.
Top shelf is Tower Bridge, Voltron and the Colossus of Ultimate Evil. Voltron is defending the bridge from evil attack 🙂
Next shelf is Harry Potter. Diagon Alley and the Burrow. The BrickLink Science Tower is the other building on the left.
Then there is Tatooine. Mos Eisley Cantina that wretched hive of villainy and scum where Jedi will cut off your arm and their pilot will murder people.
On the right is Vader’s Castle and Vader’s Volcano which is a MOC.
The Millennium Falcon is parked nearby so they can make a hasty retreat.
The bottom shelf has the Strangers Things set, the Taj Mahal, Castle Knighton and Fortrex.
I’m going to build a new castle out of the fortrex and Castle Knighton. It will go where Vader’s Castle was in our Lego town.
I uninstalled the lights on the Castle and Volcano, although I’m thinking about maybe lighting the Cantina as well.
A few weeks ago I got some nonLego brand minfigs (way cheaper and figures that either a Lego hasn’t made or are prohibitively expensive.)
Lego did make a few X-men sets, but not recently and not many of them.
The quality was pretty good for non-Lego brand. You can tell they aren’t Legos but they don’t just fall apart (which can be a problem with some nonLego minfigs)
I decided they need a home and I’ve been wanting to build a modular castle for awhile. I used the Lego Nexo Knight themed Fortrex and Castle Knighton as inspiration and building materials along with a bunch of bricks that I ordered from BrickLink.
Nexo knights had a blue and orange them largely and X-men have often had blue and yellow, so I decided to lean into Blue and orange.
The whole thing sits on two 32 by 32 plates. One plate is green and the other blue. These aren’t actually baseplates.
The green one in front features about half of the Fortrex that I used for that awesome drawbridge. It also has the gatehouse. I intend to make a couple more Castle floors for it. The high floors will probably be living quarters.
The main mansion sits on the blue plate. The bottom floor is going to be weapons instruction and armory on one side and the Danger Room to practice on the other side.
I intend more floors for the mansion as well with rooms for various X-men
