Ferry runs aground in San Juan Islands, out of service for repairs

The Chelan is out of service while crews investigate and make repairs. There is no estimated time for when the ferry will resume service.

Late last year, we took a day trip to Mukilteo, and I watched the ferry there for a while, I added to my "todo" list to ride each of the ferries - we've only rode a few. I think about it once in a while, but this has not been a good year for the ferries (or our family), so I think I might be a good plan for a future year.

The first 100 tickets sold out at $499, I’m quite sure most/all are either speculators or festival disaster tiktokers, In excellent scam form, each bracket of tickets costs more than the last, so get in early to resell your ticket for a profit!

If all 777 tickets sell out they’re looking at $1.2M which seems like bare minimum for a party of floating garbage barges, but the last 77 tickets are doing $461k of the lifting and under $700k before any expenses is just not enough if you have to rent and float in everything, so I expect the plan is to (run way with the money) charge their captive audience for literally everything possible.
