Unlike all the reporters, editors and politicians who wrote this meretricious nonsense, I actually found the resolution (pdf) and read it. Suffice to say, it offers none of the things claimed above. It does “affirm the importance of Jerusalem’s Old City and its walls” for the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths. Nowhere in the text does it denigrate a Jewish bond to what Israel calls the Temple Mount. It simply doesn’t address the issue at all. Nor should it.

A basketball championship and now maybe a baseball championship in the same year.
For Cleveland?
Ordinarily I'd be a semi-interested Jays fan but, you go guys!
And work on a new team name, seriously, it's 2016.

They changed their name to highlight their star player, a native american, an Indian.
The team name honors a man, who was an Indian.
Liberals are both ignorant and racist.

Turns out the storm's so intense the neighbours are out on the balcony smoking cigarettes, and drinking wine. I paid for typhoon remnants, damn it.

Oh lol hey, I'm recalling this sketch:
The Daily Show springs tense showdown with Native Americans on Redskins fans - The Washington Post
All about honoring the people, just not in fist reach.
Someone came up with the perfect way of telling something is offensive. Yell it or show it amongst a crowd of whomever it might be offensive to. Don't have the stones? There's your answer.

Re: News Miscellany
Now the Redskins was originally a racist term, and that team marketed itself as the 'white' NFL team. They didn't have any non-white players until their stadium lease was not going to be renewed unless they integrated, like in the 60's.

No stones it is. It sticks any closer to formula and people will start thinking it's a bot.

It was mostly a bust here, although some nearby areas were affected by power outages, we were barely affected. I did have a lot of tree shit in my driveway and lawn, so there was some strong winds and rain.
We cancelled going to a pumpkin farm today because of the threat of thunderstorms. (We need a sad pumpkin.)

Re: News Miscellany
I'm from Cleveland. Nobody knows shit about the supposed man the team name is honoring, except that they're supposed to say they're honoring a former player. That's the extent of it. I never heard Louis Sockalexis's name when I lived there. I did hear people say that Chief Wahoo was the name of the player and so the logo honors him too. It's not. Chief Wahoo is just an offensive racial caricature, nothing more, and has no connection to Sockalexis. Chief Wahoo was not his nickname or anything.
The name wasn't adopted until over 15 years after the Sockalexis left the team and no contemporaneous media suggests the name was meant to honor him or even mentions him. And he wasn't a star player in the first place, and one of the years he was on the team, the Cleveland Spiders had literally the worst performance in MLB history.
But sure, they're honoring someone who struggled with alcoholism, broke his foot early in his professional career, and ended up playing only three seasons, one of which was the worst season by any team ever. He had been a promising player, but his various issues meant he never became a star. So, we're supposed to believe that back in 1915, when America was racist as shit, they decided to name the team to honor a tragic Native American player from the worst era in the team's history.
Maybe he played a role in it. But it's obvious, given that nobody involved said so at the time, that he wasn't the primary motivation for the name.
And if they really wanted to honor him, maybe they'd do something like, you know, doing things to benefit the Penobscot tribe that he was from, and educate the fans about that tribe and other Native American tribes so that, you know, they're actually being honored beyond the cheapest of lip service. And you know, get rid of that ridiculous caricature.
Nope. Nobody gives a shit about all that. They know Chief Wahoo. The extent of the "honoring" they do is to say that they're honoring him/them. The end.

The cypress trees are shedding their older needles now, and the wind and rain makes it all come down at once. My driveway was a brighter orange than Trump.
Plus branch and leaves from various other trees in the neighborhood.
Not literal tree shit, just a bunch of shit coming off the trees.

Aww, man, I actually cleaned my driveway, because my driveway doesn't need any help being more treacherous.
Give it a day or so, and I'll have a decent picture - the trees aren't done yet.

Re: News Miscellany
I'm not sure what to make of this.
A Google cache of a page that's now 404, allegations of Julian Assange using a dating site to try to groom an 8 year old girl. Threats of "unending cyber warfare" against the dating site.
I'd never before heard of the UN Global Compact.

Strange how every time someone exposes liberals, the party of perversion makes sexual allegations.
Must be projection...
