Oh wow, he sure did. If the hug and huggle don't make him smile, the flomp is sure to. :yup:

Now, MonCapitan, you were saying you need a smiley to help you woo the ladies, were you not? Please give a warm welcome to our latest addition to the hoard, the work of pro-amateur from deviantART, who did not create this on commission from me, but who nevertheless managed to capture just exactly what you needed, MC.

:suggest:

Thank you pro-amateur, and use it for good, MC.

That is just awesome. The awesomeness of the smilie brings a tear to my eye. :bliss: is my reaction. If there was a variation for me (or all the users) I would use that one. Pro-Amatuer did some good work. Now to use it to woo the ladies. So where do I find it?

MisterIngo actually got a Daily Top Favorite for that emote! I'm so proud of him, I knew he'd get one someday :D

For those of you not familiar with how deviantART works, a Daily Top Favorite (or DTF) is when enough people show their love for a work of art by faving it that it receives more faves in its first 24 hours than any other work of art. The top 5 DTFs are displayed on deviantART's front page, where it receives even more attention and more faves.

Finally MisterIngo's getting the attention he deserves :ffboogie:

I knew it was hugely popular but I didn't realize it was a DTF! That's so exciting! I am totally going to take ridiculous amounts of credit for this. Oh sure, he was making it anyway, but I begged him! I'm like Rocky's coach up in here.

:woohoo: :airbox:

I use Macromedia Fireworks MX to make mine. I made a beginners' tutorial on the process I use here: http://www.deviantart.com/view/16666928/ :)

How much does the program you use cost? Is it more than $300.00?

They recently came out with a new version of Fireworks, found here: http://www.macromedia.com/software/fireworks/ It looks like that one is $299.

I'll resubmit it, what say you? lol! No, I won't... I've got another idea for a zombie-emote but it's more of a zombie-hoard doing a stampede.

Zikes, you know I owe you :D. Seriously, you taught me and I offer my most humble thanks...

Livius, thanks for nagging... ;P

Oh man, a zombie stampede would rule! And I wasn't nagging; I was begging. There's a big difference. :D

Seriously Ingo, I couldn't be happier for you or prouder to see you get all that dA love for your work. Isn't it funny now that you told people in your description that you hoped it would be as popular as :pianist: and whatnot?

And it became even more popular than anything I've ever created! It' funny! I was actually hoping that it would become a DTF so I placed the links in the description - hopefully people would become curious and click the links to my benefit. It worked! The three devs have gotten 76, 61 and 44 favs in total now due to overwhelming amount of people who faved the zombie. They all had about 20 each before. I'm going to make a new zombie today, and probably the stampede tomorrow.

Would you prefer different zombies or a hoard of alikes?

By the way, you mentioned Romero. I must admit I love his first film - Night of the Living Dead! I find it more scary that the likes of Resident Evil 1 & 2. The zombies - though they don't look as good - are scarier in the way the act, twitch and just seem to be dead. The ones in Resi are more like aliens with human appearance!

I've since seen Dawn of the Dead (new version, director's cut!- scared the crap out of me!!!) which inspired my :zombieglomp: as you might know. I haven't seen 28 days later, but I'm pretty sure they're the same kind.

I hope ex-zombie likes them - the latest one might seem a little bit rude seeing as the zombie gets shot (though it keeps coming back!!! OHMYGOD!!!), but in the end the zombie will prevail! :muhahah:

By the way, could you perhaps find use of another evil-laugh emote? Ingo-evil-laugh perhaps? I just suddenly got inspired!

That's amazing. Actually, it might even explain why I got a little flurry of faves on the Knights Who Say Ni! yesterday. Joining the emoclub had given it a boost already, but you linking to my profile in your zombieglomp description definitely sent traffic my way. I'm up to 81 faves now! :ffboogie:

Now, Ingo, why do you ask me such things when you know my answer is going to be both. Okay, if forced to choose, I would say there should be some zombie variety, particularly in the pacing, which should be slightly offset or it'll look more like Michael Jackson than George Romero. ;)

I actually haven't seen Resident Evil -- from the previews it looked like the CGI would annoy me -- but I'm right there with you on the Night of the Living Dead. It scared the living bejeebers out of me.

He's put the one where he gets shot into bits repeatedly in his sig, so I'm guessing he loves it. Twisted bastard. :D

How about a zombie dropping bits of itself and slapping them back on? Because it just so happens that MisterIngo made one and is releasing it here first! Eat your heart out dA. You'll get our sloppy seconds! :muahaha: :larrow: Boy, we sure could use another one of these. :whistles:

Everybody, please welcome :zombits:.
