If anybody here has any ability to deal with me, it's liv, and I have strong doubts she'd send me to the Cloaca for dissing the little tin gods that don't even exist here. Hey, dumbass. You already know I'm a computer science student. You know I don't talk to you about school because I am aware of just how painfully dry the topic is to others. So when you grill me for information to the point where it's worth it for me to figure out a way to explain my work (my passion, my life, btw, and you know this) in terms you can understand, could you please, pretty please, stop replying with, "Don't they have computers that do that?"

Orgg. My stomach is still of a yuck. I had yoghurt and a boiled little potato for breakfast and that did not sit well.

I am doing somewhat better, but still really pissed off at myself at times. I am not fond of life lessons.

I am frucken tired of this crap - I mean, my stupid body likes to develop a sort of lump in the throat feeling right before I need to have my thyroid (which lives in my throat and which needs to not swell up so any feelings of lumpishness are somewhat panic-making) checked, and now this - this stress reaction which is robbing me of precious strength. HEY, thanks, BODY!!! FRUCK YOU! FRUCK YOU, BODY!!! I wanna throw up.

Wut? Oh, yeah, thanks for asking. The fire was contained on the 8th floor (I live on the seventh) so with the exception of a vague ashtray/barbecue smell in my apartment, I'm none the worse for wear.

Don't worry about your thyroid, Cal. The vast majority of thyroid tumours are benign. Even if you do have bad luck, thyroid malignancies generally respond well to treatment. Try not to worry :hug:

(I'm telling my upstairs neighbour the same thing as she's going in to have a thyroidectomy in a week or two).

On a related note, feeling sick is almost certainly due to thyroid malfunction, in addition to the stress you're obviously under. A very old trick, and still one of the best, is to suck some Barley Sugar. You get an instant sugar hit, which provides energy, and it helps combat nausea. Don't forget to brush your teeth, though, as the acid environment plays hell with the teeth.
