My new PC doesn't work so I need to return it to the shop. So I won't even have internet access at home ... unless they give me a replacement (which they won't).

Hello PW and Watser!
Yeah, it sucks pretty bad. I can't install anything on it. Every installation breaks off with a CRC error. This leads me to believe that probably the RAM is faulty.

Re: Countdown from one million thread
973,837 Stormlight, but can't they give you a new one and fix the broken one themselves? I mean you should have a working computer when you just bought it.

That's the idea, Watser. But this is Luxembourg; customer service is not all that high on their agenda ...
We'll see.

Re: Countdown from one million thread
My Friday doesn't arrive until Thursday this week. But I suppose I should be happy I don't have to wait all the way to Friday for my Friday. And if you understood what I just said, you must be nuttier than I am.

Re: Countdown from one million thread
The boiler company guy was here today, took stock of the situation, and will be reporting back to butthead Lenny at the end of the day. Tomorrow I will find out what his answer is, and with that, whether I'll be getting my oil from him this year or from someone else. It's a big market out there for oil. I'm sure others will be more than happy to scoop up my business. I've got a permit now so I can go anywhere I want now. HA!
Gawddamn, that makes me feel good!
In other news, I think my boss is going to have her own meltdown today over the new receptionist that she hired and is probably going to have to fire. I only have so much sympathy for her though. Why the hell didn't she make sure she could do what was required of her for the job before hiring her? Especially after being lied to twice in a row by the last two girls??? No, it's not right that this woman lied, but Ann knew better by this hire and should have taken steps to ensure that she could do the job.
