So I find myself repeatedly cycling through the 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 check in my head (sometimes I go in the reverse order for a change) and only trying to remember two or three numbers at once, most of the time. That's my excuse for why I'm so slow.

I don't generally bother to take notes on online Sudoku puzzles, but the local paper's version has automated pencil marks which I use when I decide I can't get past cycling through numbers and need more information. I go 9->1 for no reason other than I started that was on a lark, same reason why I always start Wordle with "freak".
