I don't expect the verdict to affect his chances but his performance in court just might, as well that crying victim and getting vengeance on the justice system will now be his main excremation. Even if he wins a portion of his presidency is going to be fighting the government and trying to claw back his imagined wealth, as the rest of the party beneath him scrambles to please an unpleasable man to temporarily to gain favor in his court.

While I know he's averting shame by pretending he didn't say something that makes him look bad, It's extra amusing that he's doing it at a time when the next president's memory is in question. It really doesn't look good that after dozing in court and appearing lethargic and defeated, he's forgotten key slogans of his only presidential success.

Really not seeing a ton of equalization. There was some a long time ago, but since 2008 or so, there's been fairly spectacular divergence.
