It was -14°C with fresh snow here on Saturday when I had to leave my mother's cottage and was really worried about the tiny forest road I have to drive through for the first 4 km or so, especially the huge hill on a curve, but it was actually fine, probably because it was cool enough not to be particularly slippery.

Snowing again now, pretty consistently, and warming fast. Which has me worried about getting to work (or even out of my yard) between 6 and 7 tomorrow morning with my tiny Toyota Yaris. Usually I remote work, but not tomorrow. Stupid housing co-op changed stupid maintenance company which stupidly these days doesn't clear the stupid yard until the stupid afternoon. The old one did it at like 5 in the morning and kept doing it every few hours when it was snowing.

We had a light snow covering in Michigan for a couple days (a couple days ago) but temps hovering around 32F/0C and no snow at the moment. Yesterday I was told we'd be getting 2-4" of snow between 4-11 today, and it is 7:15 now without a flake.

Everything East and South of us was closed down, yesterday.
There were trucks parked on the highway all night waiting for the roads to open.

This AM, it's all bright and Sunny, but friggin' COLD.

High winds yesterday and today, some people in the area lost power. High winds here are usually the precursor to a storm of some sort, but that hasn't happened yet.
