Oh man. Feeling a little extra ancient right about now.
Vangelis was actually in the running to play keyboards for Yes when Rick Wakeman left in 1974. Yes ultimately hired Patrick Moraz, and Vangelis went on to a fine solo career as well as pumping out four gorgeous albums with Yes singer Jon Anderson. Been a long time, but tonight's a good night for listening to some Jon & Vangelis.

Oh man, Alan White was terrific. I'm a long-time fan of Bruford, but I always thought White was a better fit for for the stuff Yes played from about 1972 on. He's been pretty severely debilitated in recent years, but that music they pumped out will live on.

RIP yet another veteran actor, Paul Sorvino of Goodfellas and Law and Order fame. His character in Goodfellas was patterned after Paul Vario, a capo in New York's Luchesse crime family.
