I'll be trying to watch both Big and A League of Their Own in the near future. I should prolly look up her IMDB and see what else I love that she's been a part of that I don't know about.
I think she also directed Awakenings (Robert DeNiro/Robin Williams), the flick about the doctor who worked with catatonic encephalitis survivors.

He was one of the good ones, and he was also utterly hilarious, which is a rarity amongst politicians. R.I.P., Congressman.
…also R.I.P. to baseball legend Frank Robinson, who, among his other accomplishments, was the first person to win MVP in both leagues and the first African-American MLB manager. His on-base average throughout his career was .389 at a time when the median was somewhere around .310, which is kind of staggering.

LaRouchies used to pass out fliers nearby my house in Illinois. I was so excited to see what new wackiness they were up to, the conversation went,
"Oh wow, LaRouchies!"
"You've heard of us! Are you interested in joining?"
"Oh fuck, no!"
They let me take a flier anyway but I was very disappointed with the picture of Obama cheaply photoshopped with a Hitler mustache and cross eyes. How juvenile can you make your own party seem?
The Monkees were the first manufactured boy band - but that didn't stop them from being pretty great. Davy Jones died back in 2012, so now there are only two of the band still alive.
Don't know how the fuck I missed it, but Roy Clark died last November. Dude was a musician of the highest order. This here is one of my all-time favorite tee vee and music moments:

Sadly, I only knew about Roy Clark from Hee Haw. I have good nostalgia for that show, and him on it, but it was not a showcase for the depth and breadth of his talent.
Yep, my grandparents (and my parents, just not quite as religiously) had Hee Haw on every time it aired. And the Odd Couple was p. much my favorite sitcom as a kid, and I remember that scene vividly. Dude had massive talent, but just didn't seem to feel the need to show off his virtuouso chops too often, even outside of Hee Haw.

Luke Perry at 52. Wasn't a fan of "90210" but had no problems with him as an actor. I watched him on the 1st Season of Riverdale, and enjoyed his performance. This is such a shame. (Also, he's only 5 years older than me, which is scary AF.)
Fifty stopped being old for me when my dad turned that age - that was many years back. Now I myself am approaching that yearstone so it definitely doesn't feel old. There can be a number of reasons I'd "expect" a man that age to pass, most of them due to accident or crime. Having a stroke wouldn't have been in the top 100 things I'd have thought.

Off the top of my head, first goes to a ridiculous midlife crisis vehicle and a whole lot of speed.
