Default Zoomable photo of Jacquard loom shawl

I guess liv will have already blogged about this, but I found this link browsing the Raspberry Pi blog and wanted to share.

Attributed to Anthony Berrus | Shawl | French | The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Keep clicking through to zoom right in and see all the detail.

The reason that Liz (not liv) was blogging about it is that someone used a Pi to make a Jacquard loom simulator for a museum

from Owl Project on Vimeo.

You and Liz were way ahead of me, cep. I didn't even know it was there, although I have spent many a lost weekend browsing the Met's fine collection online. I want it even high ressier, though. It's so incredibly intricate I wish we could see all the way down to the warp and weft.
