If they do this it would seem only fair that airlines reimburse passangers for delayed flights and time lost sitting on the runway, and if they already do, it's not enough.

Let's ignore the fact that the biggest time waster in an airport setting is standing in line to get molested by the TSA (since that occured prior to the airplane part), but is this really a problem? Most of the delays I've experienced weren't because grandma had to put her bag in the overhead 20 rows from her seat due to people sucking, but because it snowed 1000 miles away and the plane wasn't there yet.

I've found avoiding all flights dealing in any way with Chicago's O'hare Airport a good starting point for airline happiness.

Maybe shaming them over the intercom would help speed them along.

"This is your captain speaking. It's going to be a while before we can take off since we lost our spot in line.
