Local outlets say that Miller is a registered Republican. He has a master's degree from UCLA and campaigned for Nevada's state assembly in 2022, but lost in the primary election, according to local daily newspaper The Press-Enterprise.

According to the news I read (AP News), there were two medical emergencies which halted the rally. Trump asked for music to be played while that was going on, and he stood there listening. Once that cleared up, he spoke for a few more minutes and then decided to just play music for the rest of the rally.

The incidents at the rally seemed to throw him off and left everyone confused.

I am distrusting news reports sanewashing his behavior because there's a lot of after-the-fact rationales and excuses being offered for which there's no actual evidence.

The latest notion I have seen suggests that they are lining up for JD to take over after the festivities, with MrT's latest behavior setting that up. He just drifts off the stage after the party, and goes off to spend his retirement on the national Dole, and ol' JD takes over.
Yeah, I know, it's not quite that simple, but you get the drift.

With his ego, Trump will have to die before letting Vance take over, and Trump hasn't lost enough cognitive function to casually let Vance 25th Amendment his ass. It might take years for Trump to be in such a bad state that he can be outplayed by new money Vance.

I'm sure Vance is willing to wait him out, though.

They would most likely keep Trump as President until he died, as a figurehead "Dear Leader", as often is done. Example: Robert Mugabe. It would be the "power behind the throne" that would run things.

In my experience, people’s personalities don’t fundamentally change, the dysfunction comes and goes, and intelligent people are able to mask the dysfunction better. I think Trump will raise hell to keep in power until he is literally unable to think for himself, and that could be a long,long time.

Phoenix man charged with shooting Democratic office had 250,000 rounds and a grenade launcher

[P]olitical violence leading up to and after Election Day has experts concerned, especially in light of revelations about a Phoenix man arrested Tuesday who authorities said was allegedly planning a “mass casualty” event in the state.

Jeffrey Michael Kelly, 60, was arrested in connection to his alleged involvement in four separate incidents of political violence. Police have tied him to a series of shootings at a Democratic National Committee office in Tempe, as well as placing anti-Democratic signs with razor blades and bags of white powder attached to them in nearby Ahwatukee.

During an initial appearance in Maricopa County Superior Court on Wednesday, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said that a search warrant of Kelly’s home found 120 guns, 250,000 rounds of ammunition, body armor and a grenade launcher. (Emphasis added.)
