Default Did Yahweh do us a favor by denying us eternal life?

Did Yahweh do us a favor by denying us eternal life?

It seems that the older I get, the less enjoyable and desirable the thought of living eternally becomes, even though I am quite pleased with how my life has evolved and how I will end this life.

Be it with a body here on earth, or as a spirit in some heaven, I cannot imagine anyone living eternally and enjoying it.

It would be like living watching the same T V program running over and over and over, since there is nothing new under the sun. All would be seen as allegories and or analogous of other situations.

Thoughts?

Regards
DL

P.S. I see Yahweh as a myth and this question more of a mind exercise.

I never understood why believers accept that some finite time here on Earth can somehow be a useful preparation for an eternal afterlife. If we lived for a million years, that's still 0% relative to eternity.

Thanks for this.

I have a hard time understanding why Christians accept anything from a genocidal and infanticidal Yahweh or read their myth literally.

Read a story a while ago about humans with greatly extended lifespans. They had little to no memory of their earlier life, and if they did not journal, would completely forget what had happened one, two, three hundred years ago. Makes sense, given how ephemeral memories from just 30 or 40 years ago are.

Doubtful.

I do not think we can assume that an eternally living mind would have a poor memory?
