It took less than two hours for Donald Trump's new social media to collapse under the weight of embarrassment. Trump's own account was quickly compromised and proceeded to post a photo of a pig defecating on its own scrotum. Access to the site is now shut down.

The tweet thread update says that it wasn’t hacked, this was just a fake account, which I feel is worse. It’s one thing to mess up computer security, it’s another to just completely miss the possibility of people faking accounts by already registering variants of DJT’s name.

TMTG seems designed to fail. That Verge article implies that the new company hasn't attracted any outside investors, so that means the real money people aren't interested. I assume the grift is to make money off of foolish small investors.

Given it only took Trump 29 days from start to trashing of his own blog because he wasn’t getting that instant boost like twitter. If I was an investor I would probably want to know that my investment into a future facebook hinges on how fast Trump gains viewers on the new platform.

I know nothing about the case, but in general defamation is hard to prove and the potential winnings small unless damages can be shown.

It’s possible she decided that something like a book deal was overall more profitable than a defamation case.

Frankly one of the few expertise Trump really has is playing the legal system while he drags people through the mud with him, something something wrestling a pig. I could see not wanting to become the target of his piglings.
