Great Historical Facial Hair
In honor of yesterday's 150th anniversary of Italian unification, my first selection of great historical facial hair belongs to King Victor Emmanuel II (1828-1878):

Hmm. Marx and Darwin are too obvious. So I'm playing General Ambrose Burnside.

Re: Great Historical Facial Hair
I've always respected the staches on Ricardo and Enrique Flores Magon, two Mexican anarchists.
Ricardo is on the left.
And then there's the Anarchist Prince, Pyotr Kropotkin:
And for someone completely different, César Franck:

Re: Great Historical Facial Hair
Is it a coincidence that Burnside grew his sideburns into so lush a mane? I think not.
Null, Ricardo clearly wins. Those curls don't even looked waxed in place.
As for a certain Mr. lisapea, he is just jellis. Jellis and bitter that his Pringles dude mustache simply cannot compete on this stage.

Rebbe Schneersohn, from more recent history. "Great" - as in great evidence that although rabbinical rapist patriarchs claim they're god's gift to humanity, they're actually ugly creepy rape-o-cratic vermin. Anyone who seriously thinks little girls and boys LIKE being raped by these disgusting freaks(actually not freaks, since in their community their $hit "traditions" and "attitudes" and "values" are more the norm) definitely has a serious problem.

Hadrian (76-138 AD), the first Roman emperor to sport a beard. Roman men had been clean shaven since the early days of the Republic, but Hadrian's embrace of his facial hair started a trend of imperial beards that would last until Constantine's reign almost 200 years later.

Re: Great Historical Facial Hair
all bullllllllshit aside, rape is wrong, no matter how many authoritarian FFollowers try to shrug off jewish rape of women, little girls, and little boys, excuse away jewish rape of women, little girls, and little boys, and/or attack those who criticize jewish rape and the jewish culture of rape.
that's why authoritarian judaism is doomed to FFail. period.

I anticipated this reaction.
You neglected to define historical in your OP. Dictionary.com defines historical as, "of, pertaining to, treating, or characteristic of history or past events." Well, the photo obviously can't be from the future, at least as far as we can know. It also can't be from the present, as it takes time to photograph someone and upload the picture. Therefore it must have been taken in the past. Now, the definition for event is, "something that happens or is regarded as happening; an occurrence, especially one of some importance." Well, what is depicted in the photograph happened and someone thought it important enough to record. So therefore we know that the photograph is of an event which took place in the past, and therefore is historical..

Darius I (550 - 486 B.C.), King of Persia, receiving tribute from a Median, probably because the poor Median guy realizes his beard is vastly inferior.

I only remember this picture as "Baphomet" even though it's supposed to be Gen. Albert Pike.
(It's from a Jack Chick tract.)
