Smile In the land of a few butterflies.

Today I saw two yellow/black butterflies* fluttering around together and then right after that I saw a monarch, too. There was a fourth white one, but it was prolly just a moth or something.

Okay. Beat that!

I have seen exactly one colorful butterfly (yellow and black) so far this season. Several white ones, but they're not as exciting.

Butterflies tend to be late summer here, when the lantanas are in full bloom

I have seen a bunch of tiger swallowtails so far. One landed on my shoulder while I was playing my uke on the porch this morning and it was one of those OMG where is someone with a camera when I need them! He was a big guy too, about three and a half inches. No monarchs yet as we are later in their migration IIRC, but I have seen some Kings that are pretenders. I saw a lovely blue and black one this weekend that I haven't seen around here before.

I love the little white moths, they have yellow and pink cousins here, but then I don't raise cabbages.

We usually get Monarchs here, to day I saw one Black with bright blue patches, they are fairly common. And a small yellow one.

Unfortunately my passion vine died so we are not surrounded by them as we once were, but we still get a few Gulf Fritillaries around the other flowers.

It really is. Did you take that with your non-butterfly hand?

I think it's Firefox, but I'm not seeing a lot of linked images these days. :\

I'm running Chrome and OSX and I don't get a lot of them either. I'm wondering if it has something to do with some of the browser extensions I'm running..

yup, disabled extensions, restarted browser, rewarded with butterfly pic.

EDIT: I think you're also running the Disconnect extension, Yb. That's what's doing it on my system.

I may play around with my add ons, but I don't know what disconnect is. My add-ons are privacy based, a few general browser enhancements and a number of them to make Firefox behave like it used to.
