Re: Neither WAR nor WoW
My name is Wei Yau and I'm an altoholic.
On the "Triumph" server, I've just made three members of a group I call "Everyday Heroes".
Tar Jay (carries a shield with a distinctive "bullseye" logo)
Wally World (actually a villain, since there's no war mace options for heroes)
Barista (wants to know if you want whip with that).
If I there was only an apron option, I'd have an orange and white Armored brute called "D-I-Y"

Nothing of material gain; just the comfort of having everyone in one place.

Tankers have War Mace as a secondary.

Another 12 created, two groups of heroes. Six member teams.
The League of Everyday Heroes and the All-American Family.
I'll probably have pics and pages up at VV pretty soon.

The League of Everday Heroes
Okay, I feel like showing off some more. Didn't play the game all weekend, except for creating a ton of new characters. I'd like to see how well I represented the corporate sponsors of each of these heroes. Take a guess as to the identity of each sponsor.
The League of Everyday Heroes is a super-group created by the powerful and enigmatic "Chamber of Commerce". Each hero represents or is sponsored by companies which do business within Paragon City.
Tar-Jay
Tar-Jay is sponsored by a national retail chain, has a competitive rivalry with Wally World
Wally World
Wally World works in the gardening supply department of a national retail chain.
Barista
Barista is sponsored by a national coffee shop chain.
D.I.Y.
DIY represents a national home improvement chain. He maintains and upgrades all of his own equipment.
GeekDrone-1
The GeekDrone-1 is a sentient droid working for the tech support department of a big box electronics retail corporation.
The Burger Sovereign
Baelron Killearnith (B.K. for short) is an Elven Prince who became infatuated with a "whopping" huge burger while visiting a national fast-food chain in the mortal realm. In order to avoid a copyright infringement suit, he now performs PR duties as a member of the League.

Another candidate for the Zodiac Guardsmen, I give you
The Last Dragon .
So, for those of you who have unlocked the samurai costume pieces...is it possible to create a 'toon of Mr. 'Nuff?

I. Can't. Wait. That. Long.
I'll have to design a 'toon for Mr. Nuff to use in the meanwhile. Still, I'd like to see what can be done with the samurai armor for future reference.
I'm going to have to replace one of the existing 'toons for the next generation of evil zodiac villains. It'll probably be
Dr. Hiss (though I will miss this "Mohinder Suresh" character).

Re: Neither WAR nor WoW
Aw, too bad we can't do that with the real Mohinder.
I've already a few ideas for this Mr. Nuff. Depending on how close you want it, you might not need any of the
Samurai pieces.
eta: the face piece pictured there is not the Samurai menpo. It more resembles a Japanese demon.
I'm thinking sleeveless trenchcoat and crazy padded shoulder pieces and maybe the
Champion belt. The pants I suspect will be tricky. I'm thinking either Korean pants or perhaps the super baggy style pants.
But if you're looking for a more City of style for the Shogun of Harlem, then the sky is the limit. Well, 18 months anyway.

OMG!
Winter Event 2008 ?
I need to get
Kassai in on that mission. She desperately needs furry gloves and boots.
These missions are co-op missions? Heroes and villains together? Can Metajoule come out to play?

QFT!

I think you might be right. Even in movie, he didn't actually have samurai gear. I believe those are actually football shoulder pads. Mr. Nuff is very ghetto.

Only 3 month veteran reward for the trenchcoat!
whoa. 39 month veteran reward for the champion belt.

Yeah, I think those options just might work. Of course, I'd have to give him sneakers. "Kiss my Converse."

Re: Neither WAR nor WoW
Be ye ready, Master wei, for the ski chalet shall pwn ur box. I can't speak to what happens on other servers, but Virtue goes all out. Everyone will be coming and going and going and coming (
)! It'll be laggy especially the first couple of days as people rush to get all the badges their greedy hands can but it mostly mellows out after that. There is certainly no lack of things to do no matter what you enjoy. (Fencing! Fighting! Torture! Revenge! Giants! Monsters! Chases! Escapes! True love! Miracles!)

Re: Neither WAR nor WoW
oh, yeah. Kassai isn't on Virtue. She's on Liberty.
Since the furry gloves and boots are individual character rewards, I have to have Kassai earn them herself.
She's only Level 1!!!!!
I've got some work ahead of me.
Will you take part in the Winter Festivities?

Re: Neither WAR nor WoW
Indubitably! I've one badge hunting character for sure and a couple others that haven't been part of the festivities ever.
This is an excellent time to network as people will be hollering for teams. The City of Community is gentle and forgiving to noobs so don't fear the teamings.

I won't fear the teamings. I won't fear the teamings.
But, I still have some work to do to prepare for Winter Event 2008.
The first is to redeem two free character slots and purchase 10 more. All 24 of the Zodiac Guardsmen are going to be on Virtue.
Sure, I'll have to re-roll all of them, but most are Level 1 with only a few close to Level 5.
Thank goodness, leveling at the early stages is so damned quick.
