Luckily our part of town is much higher than flood stage for Big Creek. I understand that the other neighborhoods along it in Alpharetta/Roswell are flooded to some degree. But damn if they didn't shut down Hwy 78 and Spaghetti Junction!

EDIT: D'oh, forgot you guys were on the eastern side of things too. How's it look your way?

No flooding. Just rain. Lots and lots of rain.

We moved some boxes and clothes this weekend, but not nearly as much as we'd planned to on accounta the torrential downpour. Tracked a bunch of red mud into the new house. Hopefully it'll be clear next weekend when we have the u-haul.

it's pretty bad here right now. My boss is staying at work tonight because he actually can't get home. He lives in Austell. My aunt and uncle have been flooded out of their house in Fayetteville. We haven't been able to find out where they went, but I'm pretty sure they're safe. Most of my work staff live in Gwinnett and I told them to stay home today.

It's better already, guys, thank you kindly. I applied so many rounds of aloe to it last night that it never had a chance to blister. It's still in an irritating fucking position for computer work, let me tell you.

You know, I rarely cut myself. I have shitty knife skills and there have been a couple of close calls, but I can think of only one minor cut I've ever done to myself. Burns, otoh, are a regular occurrence with me. I'm guess I'm a heat spaz but not a blade spaz.

(belated). I used to burn myself regularly too. In fact, my oven no longer works because I shorted out the element.

I just decided to save the $100 annual fee by discontinuing Apple's useless (to me) MobileMe service, and when I deleted the MobileMe account info from my iPhone I naturally lost my entire contact list. Because it makes perfect sense to the stupid fucksticks at Apple that my not wanting to use their online service equates to not wanting to retain the contact list on my cellphone. :madrant:

So I plug the iPhone into my computer thinking maybe I'll restore from backup, and what's the first thing it does? The first thing it always does: it creates a backup. Of my phone with no contacts. Just in case I wanted to restore my EMPTY FUCKING CONTACT LIST.
