Minx, I am disapointed. I went and registered on your site without checking the dates of the last posts, it seems that it is a dead forum, unless you can stir things up a bit. A few replies would be appreciated, or we can let it R.I.P.

The forum isn't the main thing, from what I understand. Feedback areas were added to the blogs.

I think the best exposure can be had by using a blog site that mirrors the main website blogs and maintaining feedback.

Thanks, but I don't need things to be more complicated than they already are.

The mirror blog site was advice for Minx.

I'm not interested in a scavanger hunt, I go there and the forum is dead and then I am told there is a blog or feadback where the real action is, and I don't see and obvious link. Accessability is the key to getting participation, unless it is a private club.

The blogs are linked to in the Sweet Nothings tab, I believe. It's not a forum, thedoc. The forum is just an adjunct to the larger website which is premised on the intriguing concept that buying nothing is better for you than buying something. Just roll with it.

Yes a nice quiet park, where occasionally someone makes some statment about a topic of interest, but no-one seems to be commenting on those statments. Is it customary or acceptable to try and start a dialogue when you find something interesting?

On blogs you leave comments. It's usually productive for the blog writer to respond to your comment. The site is young so it's a quick read right now. It's not really a communication tool in the same way a forum is where you initiate conversations that endure. It's more like a column in a newspaper. I don't like all of Macleans magazine but I usually try to read Scott Feschuk. I've never left a comment on an article he wrote but I like to read his thoughts.

Nothing is easy.
Though time gets you worrying
My friend, it's o.k.
Just take your life easy
And stop all that hurrying,
Be happy my way.

When tension starts mounting
And you've lost count
Of the pennies you've missed,
Just try hard and see why they're not worrying me,
They're last on my list.
Nothing's easy.

Nothing is easy, you'll find
That the squeeze won't turn out so bad.
Your fingers may freeze, worse things happen at sea,
There's good times to be had.
So if you're alone and you're down to the bone,
Just give us a play.
You'll smile in a while and discover
That I'll get you happy my way --
Nothing's easy.

@the doc - As Koan and Livius Drusus mentioned, the main site is dedicated to trying to create a small artificial market where people buy, and once enough of it is in private hands - sell, Nothing at all. It's a bit of a wacky idea, but it's great fun working on it. The forum is just a sort of an accessory where people can,if they choose to discuss the idea, or anything remotely connected to it. We are still a rather new, and not very well known, hence the forum has little traffic for now, I'm hoping that one day it will get a lot more lively.
@meek - The mirror blog is an interesting idea, I wish we started it at the same time as the site, but it's never too late. I'll try setting something up next week. We're in a bit of a strange place at the moment, where we finally have most things working the way we want them to, and are now not quite sure what to do next. Funny thing is that my day job is mostly analysing marketing data, and creating marketing plans, but when it comes do doing it for my own site, it just feels strange.
@ceptimus - That will be my official theme song from now on :)
