I'm learning that a media freeze isn't unprecedented on admin changes for a get up to speed period.
But time will tell, now won't it.

America first, make Netherlands second because they requested it! | We the People: Your Voice in Our Government

The Netherlands has requested, within the scope of the new America first initiatives, to be simply: second. They don't want us to forget about them. So the White House should give them a call. 2nd place is open, and they asked nicely before anyone else. We'll make them great too. We can do it.

Re: Good King Trump
The New York Times sez that the leading candidates for the empty SCOTUS seat are William Pryor, Neil Gorsuch and Thomas Hardiman, all U.S. Court of Appeals judges. I don't know a goddamn thing about Hardiman. Pryor would be a nightmare, voting even more Scalia-like than Scalia (Pryor would be more reliably wingnutty on constitutional criminal procedure matters). Gorsuch is not nearly as crazy, and would likely be fairly easy to get confirmed.
ETA:
SCOTUSblog has profiles on all three judges named in the Times article:
Pryor
Gorsuch
Hardiman

The fact Trump even has a pick shows the total lack of backbone the dems have. The GOP are abusive assholes and the dems keep letting them walk all over them.

I hear a lot of talk from Democrats that Trump needs to be resisted but I'm not seeing a lot of actual resistance.

Re: Good King Trump
At the very least always remember no matter how shitty you feel, Trump feels worse. If he wasnt such a dangerous asshole I might actually feel sorry for him, 70 years with the emotional maturity of a spoiled todler must suck hard. Everwhere a slight, everywhere an insult. Your wife and kids cant stand to be around him, he has no friends and people groan when dealing with him. 70 years of a fake life. Sad!

I'm pretty sure Donnie will scratch his name onto the desk. Or have it gilded. Not enough gold in the White House.

Re: Good King Trump
The Doomsday Clock currently sits at two and a half minutes to midnight, the closest it's ever been since the '50s. Tangerine Trujillo, according to the scientists who run the Clock, is a primary reason for this. This is also historically unprecedented in that it's the first time the statements of a single world leader have been cause to move the clock's position closer to midnight.
"Two and a Half Minutes to Midnight" isn't quite as catchy as the Iron Maiden song.
