It's almost 50 and SUNNY! Birds are chirping and trilling and it feels like FUCKING SPRINGTIME! I plan on enjoying this day.

It was nice today took a walk down the beach to the lagoon and it was very pleasant. I noticed a lot of slides on the cliff side of the beach, probably from last week's storms. I wouldn't want to be near them when the let go and a couple places you have to walk next to them or scramble over the rocky portion of the beach which is uncomfortable as hell.

We didn't see anyone the whole journey, just me and dog, the blue herons and gulls.

Freezing rain yesterday. We were without power for 24 hours. Warming up today but the forecast is for more rain and possible snow over the weekend. I had to go out yesterday to meet with a family at the funeral home. My car is now parked at the bottom of the driveway because it was too icy yesterday to get back up the driveway.

I thought for sure we were going to lose power, it flickered quite a bit yesterday. Somehow we lucked out though.

is predicted for today. It's been raining ever since Monday with only brief spells where it cleared up. I have to go out today into what is predicted to be the worst of the rain in order to give blood.

Back to sub-zero here. It didn't snow here but in the west of the country, which is where I went today, it did (though not as much as last time). It will stay below 0 :degrees:
