I was also thinking that the gunman wasn't very good. Strictly as a critic of form here, I would have aimed towards the center of mass.

Early reports have identified the shooter, who seems to have registered Republican in the past, but also gave a small ActBlue donation. I think is safe to say this person was a never-Trumper.

Lazy. That person's name is associated with that donation. The city is wrong - listed as Pittsburgh - and there is retired registered Democrat in Pittsburgh with the same name. It is not a terribly unusual name. I see at least 5 different people with the same name in FEC listings.

I think is safe to say this person was a never-Trumper.

Fair enough, I know reports this early on can be erroneous, so it's quite possible this was incorrect.

So, it seems that a cop had noticed the guy on the roof, and climbed up to investigate. The guy pointed his rifle him and he quickly headed back down the ladder, and the guy started popping caps in the direction of the Pres, until Police counter-sniper took him out.

Trump was standing at the podium, facing to stage right, in the general direction where the shooter was positioned while most of the audience was out from Center stage.

Federal judge dismisses Trump classified documents case over concerns with prosecutor’s appointment

Judge Cannon, given the green light from Justice Thomas, shitcanned the documents case because she doesn't think Jack Smith had been illegally appointed.

On the plus side, Jack Smith finally has a ruling he can appeal, and maybe use this as a justification to get this case out of Cannon's hands.
