We had another nice day, 50's and partly sunny. Took the dog for a much needed walk in the park and saw a huge flock of cute little ducks (some kind of a teal, I think) all goin' "peep, peep, peep, peep". Also saw 2 differnt kinds of small hawk (maybe one was a falcon?), probably attracted by the ducks.

We also broke out the BBQ/smoker and smoked a London broil.

It's fucking lovely out, super blue sky and sunny, with snow so white it's practically blinding as you drive. 28° Fahrenheit.

A little too warm, too close to the freezing mark for comfort, and cloudy, but the accumulated frost on the trees is beautiful, has been building up for a week or two. I guess it is because of consistent-sub-freezing temps while there is moisture from the sea is not yet frozen or something.

The snow is taking it's time to thaw - I suppose the frozen ground is keeping it cold - but there's water everywhere. At least that's less work for us.

The weather here was in the 50s today and supposed to be mild for a few weeks. There was a chance of 'wintry mix' on Sunday but that has been upgraded to just rain.

We still has snow stupidly lying around annoying us. But today there was a bit of thawing going on and apparently that's gonna continue over the weekend.

As is traditional it will then start raining.

Then next week it will start freezing again.

Four straight days of dense freezing fog. The trees are beautiful, but I wouldn't want to be one. The forecast for tomorrow is freezing rain. Will the sun ever shine again? Damn global warming.

It was fucking 52º on MLKJ Day and the sun actually came out before noon. Of course, it was gone by 3 pm, but we actually saw blue sky for a bit, but I'm fucking dognamed sore due to working too much in the garden.
