I feel like I've got to be in a state of complete rage for a rant to be authentic. Sure I could gripe incessantly but I don't think there's a mild-mannered gripe thread. Anyway, it's Friday so I expect some major crisis will materialize around 5pm and then it will be time to rant.

From the latin, as it is written so shall it be, thrad is the ancient form for thread, which has been extended into internet parlance meaning a series of posts following a given topic; and genesis which would indicate a new start, a beginning. Thradogenesis would be beginning a new topic which would lead to a whole new thread of discussion.
