I've actually seen an online copy of the WHO report. It has about eight measures that they displayed across the page in separate columns in a table. The US finished top in one category (access to quality care, IIRC), while in overall comparison of provision of care, cost, availability and accessibility, the US dropped to number 37...the infamous place in the "We're Number 37!" satirical song. France, of course, was rated overall number 1.

The info is there...but I have to go work out ....B^(}

Well...my fu is foo. I'm not finding it.

Putting in 'WHO health care ranking' brings up all the suspects amongst the disgruntled wingnut reps (WSL, Cato Institute, Mouthfoamers Anon) screaming about how the ranking is dubious....the statistics cannot be trusted.

Y'know...I agree, actually. Crap stats like that can't really be trusted. The problem is, those screaming about it are amongst the worst offenders in abusing statistics for manipulation of the public.

Quite frankly, I'll take it over any tricked up numbers they might have.

Look, it's not the size of your country, it's how you use it.
