Awesome! In weightlifting, every woman is a novice lifter. I don't know if it has to do with the fact that competitive females lift some of the same weights as novice males, or if it's that women get so sick of the misogyny that they quit early. Probably a little of both. It is so awesome when the novice males are super condescending to the females and they think they're being nice and supportive, and it's like, you realize I could wipe the floor with you, right?

And don't even get me started about the double-standard on physique photos. Once in a while I make a mistake and mention that unsolicited "I'd hit that!" comments are not necessarily welcome by every female on the board. Even when the female has specifically posted a photo of her physique for your perusal, she is showing you her weightlifting results, not presenting her red ass for you to fuck.

Of course I am a man-hating lesbian and in fact I'm also a hypocrite because I posted a photo of myself showing so much skin that I must have been soliciting that kind of reaction.

There are various subforums you can subscribe and unsubscribe to and I'm off and on the weightlifting one all the time depending on the current mood. There's huge turnover so it shifts around, but, no, currently I'm not subscribed. I was having to take too many showers. I still use reddit for tech and geek stuff, though, and with my male username I'm pretty far under the radar.

Oh, also, I love the lgbt forums on there.

Stupid and dumb farting Freecycle!

We have two local "give things away" lists--one Freecycle and one offshoot founded as a result of some completely absurd drama some years back--but they're both now apparently run by this extraordinarily lazy tinpot dictator. So if you post something, half the time she'll bounce it back to you to meet her pointless FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS. FORMATTING! REQUIREMENTS!

Then, she lets it backlog for a while and just posts everything in these big spurts, so you might have to wait like a week before she even approves it, and you get maybe 20-50 listings all at once.

THEN, and this is the fucking kicker, it takes another week for her to post your "Taken" message to let people know that the thing you offered is no longer available. So for like a week, you have to be the dick saying, "Sorry, it's gone," before she approves your post for the list.

Seriously. All a guy wants to do is give away some stuff for free. What is the point in making it more difficult? I cannot count the number of times I've had something I would have posted there but didn't because of the PITA involved.

As loathe as I am to post on Craigslist, it's better than this crap. THAT'S IT!! I AM QUITTING FREECYCLE AND ITS BASTARD OFFSHOOT!
